I don't know much about Chris Jagger other than the fact that he sometimes - maybe usually for all I know - plays his own strain of Cajun/swamp music with his band called the Atcha band (think that's how you spell it). I saw him once in London when it was just him, a pianist/keyboard player, a fiddle player and then occasionally I seem to recall someone else played the washboard thingy that is heavily used in Cajun music. There were only about 20 people there. I was blown away, he was fantastic.

So to a question: what's he doing/playing in Vienna ? Haven't heard of this album you make mention of.

He should form a band with Simon Townshend and Mike McCartney!

I saw him at the "One For The Road" Ronnie Lane Tribute concert at Royal Albert Hall in 2004. I can't remember which songs he played, but he was really good.

i caught him in NYC a few years back. Got to talk to him, get an autograph and briefly meet Mick when he came to watch the show with Jerri. Chris put ona great show, but io felt bad for him becuase word got out that Mick was inthe club and a barren room got crowded with people with arms ful lof stones records trying to get signatures during the show.

My advice, if you get a chance to see him, go for it.

"Act of Faith" is Chris' latest album, (incl. the track "The DJ Blues", duett with Mick), he plays with his band "Atcha".
I've never seen him before but will for sure.

Saw Chris Jagger in the 70's at the Whiskey in LA when he had his 2 albums out at the time (can't remember the names. "Hand Full of Dust" was one of the songs I think) He was really REALLY good. Great band, good song writing. Too bad he'll never get out of bro's shadow, that's the main problem....

You will never get out of your Brothers shadow, if they met your/know your brother.

When I was on junior school the first thing they said to me "ohh so your the brother off" ...., ....., Man I didn't even looked at them, and I already was the bad Guy, who must be watched.

Sorry for Chris.

When i met him i told him i liked that first album (i can't rememebr the name either) and asked if he would be playing anything off either of those "old" records. he said "no" and when i asked why not, he laughed and said"'cause i can't rememebr any of them.

I take it they haven't been put out on CD. I have the vinyl stored away somewhere. Should dig those up, I remember Mick sang back up on one or 2 songs. Really good music, too bad they now seem "lost to the ages".....

I really liked Chris's first album. "Hand Full Of Dust" was a great song and big bro was on background vox all over the album. I havn't seen it on CD but would love to hear it again. The follow-up was pretty bad (Valentine Vox?) as I recall.

I do like his recent zydeco stuff a lot!

It's interesting to see that people in Europe like Zydeco as well. I learn all kinds of interesting stuff on here!lol
