I thought Can't You Hear Me Knockin' was one of the highlights of the Licks tour, a tremendous performance of a great song. I wouldn't necesarily like to see it every night on this tour, but once in a while would be nice. Is it just me, or does anyone else wish they'd play this now?

I think they're working hard, just not as hard as we'd like. It has to be difficult to be motivated to do rare (and relatively rare) songs when, 1) they get a bad to so so crowd reaction on many of the more rare songs and 2) they sell out or almost sell out nearly everywhere they go despite playing almost always playing a safe setlist. That said, a little more effort would be appreciated. Throw us hardcore fans a bone or two at least.
I'd prefer Slave instead. This is another one of the best Stones tunes ever (listen to the several long demo versions!). It was rehearsed at least in 2002 (short excerpt on Four Flicks).
Any "new" stuff is welcome. Worried about you, CYHMK are not new stuff anymore, these were the gems of the Licks tour. I hope for stuff I never heard live, ie songs never performed, or not played between 1989 and now.
God knows how much I love this song (or music rather) but I really didn't like the Licks performances . First of all I was played too slow .This is a minor issue of course! Second, Ronnie didn't get the solo right .Never understood why he tried to copy Taylor's solo on SF.Everybody was waiting for this moment but Ronnie is not Taylor as far as soli are concerned .I would have prefered a genuine effort. All the guitars players on this board know that Taylor's solo on CYHMK is not that difficult but the feeling (groove) is the key.Wood doesn't have this jazzy feeling so I 've thought that a bluesy version (which suits better Ronnie) would be a nice change. It didn't occur! Lastly I really dislike Mick 's harp solo which was nothing else than an attempt to cut short Ronnie's.

Hey, for $400+ prices, I would expect more than a run-thru of songs they can do in their sleep. I'm not saying they don't put energy out during the show, but they have not WORKED in developing new songs, new material to any length at all. That's a reasonable expectation for a "working band." As I've posted elsewhere, it's the difference between resting on your laurels and stretching yourself as an artist. In 2002 I gave 'em kudos for the latter; not this tour - it's been a MAJOR disappointment to many of us fans who expect more from our heroes.

T&A is 100 % correct. Keith could play this setlist in a coma.
A friend of mine has aptly dubbed the current tour the "Victory Lap Tour." I think that is quite appropriate and it actually helps me come to terms with my disappointment. The Stones do deserve a victory lap, I suppose, but I'd rather they just go ahead and "advertise" it as such....
Why, dont get ya? That would make the last few tours "victory laps' if you go by songs. This aint The Who..... they still play new stuff. These tours are aimed at the masses and not 'hardcore' fans. The Stones play what they think the crowd wanna hear.... and by all reports their doing it very well and selling out quickly.
