I knew Leonard's would be good and Cindy,I hear you on Panic in Detroit-was just listening to a live version the other night and there was someone, definitely male, doing an approximation of that great wail from the record and I thought"whoa, not bad".Anyhow,my top ten for today(in no particular order except for Exile):

Exile-Stones
Funhouse(or Raw Power)-Stooges
New York Dolls-New York Dolls
Third Eye-Redd Kross
Go Girl Crazy-Dictators
Mott-Mott the Hoople
Ziggy-Bowie
Billion Dollar Babies-Alice
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road-Elton John
Album-Joan Jett and the Blackhearts

I fully expect flack for the Elton selection since I've noticed there's a lot of haters on this board and to you I say "Bite me!"

Where did u find that live PID? Also, Andrew, I owe you a copy of Mad Shadows. I totally forgot! I'm so sorry. I'm still loving my Jigsaw Puzzle stuff. Thank you again for that.

3. Highway To Hell - AC/DC
4. Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture - Bowie
5. The Doors - The Doors
6. Zenyatta Mondatta - The Police
7. MTV Unplugged - Nirvana
8. Destroyer - Kiss
9. What's The Story Morning Glory - Oasis
10. Shake Your Moneymaker - The Black Crowes

No problem Cindy. The version of Panic was on an old vinyl boot called All-American Bowie.I'd offer to post it or copy it or something but I don't know how to do that from vinyl. It really is pretty cool, though, since that's my favorite part of the song as well. It's right up there with Ronson's guitar line in Time just before the line"We should be on by now"-sounds like it's crying.

Don't let the naysayers get you down. Elton? Hell, who doesn't like a little Elton. In fact I love Goodbye.

and speaking of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, I see my daughter-producing friend NICOS included the Judy Garland song in his list of favorite singles. I love that song. I'm not sure I would have thought to mention it on this site, but hey, next time I will, damn it.

I had to leave this one off my list, only because I listened to it too much that we're on a break. But this album is fantastic! Slave is killer, as are Sting Me and of course, Remedy.

lol - excellent excuse!

by the by - when discussing best albums, etc., I always exclude live albums for some inexplicable reason. Somehow it seems they should be measured/rated separately....

Ha-ha, I once puked on the keyboard. I came home from a party, which had been really wild. I saw it the next day! I asked myself for a divorcee, couldn't be in my own company for a while.
