Keiths coolest scarf was the old Moroccan prayer rug. (I think that's what it was anyway. He started wearing it back in 69-70? somewhere in there.)

The famous one (yelow and red from 72-79) is an Indian prayer scarf (India, that is.)
I used to pick them up at the Hare Krishna Temple store here in LA.
They came in yellow and white. The purple one was a white one dyed purple.
He's not the first person to wear one. I have a picture of Roger Waters wearing one
in 1969.

Wow yeah!!....Keith even looks cooool with Anita' rabbit skin stoll hangin' around his neck...

There's a place in the Wallingford centre in Seattle called Yazdi. I have purchased many Sanskrit prayer scarves in various sizes and colours there.

so is Sheik Keith. that one's from toronto, march 77. which is ... striking, if you think about it.

that Barbarian Keith shot looks like MSG (79, of course!). Lynn Goldsmith, if memory serves (which it might not).

and Keith with the small animals around his neck is december 18th 1968, departing for Brazil. i love those insectoid shades! :E

I'm not religious, but I think it's pretty funny that people are buying prayer scarves and using them as fashion accessories. Watch out, you'll anger the gods!
