Having seen the Rio show several times and having read the reviews of the BA show Mick said something líke "till the next time" to the audience in both shows. Doesn't sound like they are on their last tour. Did Mick say something similar during the US shows?
It's a stupid thing to say. Mick says "till next time" in loads of show. He says lots of things. The Stones always said they will always go on as long as they can. So if they can, they'll go on, and if they can't, well, they can't. It's been their last tour since 1981 and they've been "surprising" us eversince. It would be allot more suprising if Mick said it WAS their last tour.

lets face it, he's hardly going to say "thats the last time we'll be here - goodbye" at the end of every show
No, Gazza, but he wouldn't have to mention it all. Remember how excited everybody got when he said during the MSG show in 2003 something like "People say that this is going to be our last show in the Garden - I don't think so!" And I remember the last German show in 2003 when he addressed the crowd "This is our last show in Germany------for a while". People just went wild when he said that. Of course we never know what will happen but at least it shows that they are not intending to stop touring. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
Someone posted that at the last MSG show he said something like "this will be our last show here for a while but,we're not hanging it up like Mark Messier."(the hockey player who recently retired)
On Still Life Mick says "Thank you Pheonix, see you next year!". to my knowledge there was no show in Phoenix the year after (and he knew there would not be any).

Bingo.
I remember in '81 he said in an MTV interview the band would return in '82!!
