i wanted to post a painting my brother did..but i'm not quite sure how to put a picture up here..i bet it's been covered...anyone care to help me?

go to photobucket.com, set up an account. It's free but it may take a minute or two. Try to zap the advertisements. Then when you have the account set up you will be on a page in which you can submit a photo, click brouse, then locate your photo on your computer, then click open or something like that and it now is on your page on photobucket.

Next, highlight the url address on the thrd option below the photo it should start with the code:

yeah he gets a lot of shit from the biblebelt...he doesn't have many shows around here...he does have some stuff up in charlotte at queens gallery.

Historically, I believe, our greatest artists got "a lot of shit" from their contemporaries. That seems to be a barometer of good art. I'll try to check out the Queens gallery next time I'm in Charlotte. Do you know off hand if it's open on Saturdays?

hey, I recognize monkeygripglue's brother's style, I saw his paintings at Queens' Gallery. that one wasn't there, I would have remembered it ...very glossy surface, very surrealistic paintings, with very young girls in erotic situations...Balthus-esque...
yes Lukester that gallery is usually open Saturdays. Linda who owns it is a friend of mine.

Hi Dillard, Linda is a very nice lady indeed. I think a lot of my brother's work is often misinterpreted...but you'd have to ask him.

This particular painting is in storage along with 100's of others...his output is simply amazing.

Can anyone else help NICOS with this problem? Does this happen on all images or just one in particular? And I guess you're sure that the cursor is directly on the image before you right click it?

hello monkeygripglue! no kidding thats a lot of paintings! is he in a band, in Charlotte? I have one hand in the music and one in the painting, myself. used to do a lot more painting than now, I have 2 young kids. Linda has shown and framed a lot of my work.
Your brother's work is provacative indeed! I remember it, but haven't seen it there for awhile. Charlotte has got an underground of artists, songwriters, etc ...but the above ground is the usual suburban banker/fratboy/desparate housewives crap.

So Lukester you are from North Carolina, been there one year ago for my work (Lexington) nice place with a lot of famous BB restaurants.
