Since the beginning of 2005, we have all had doubts about Ronnie's future. Rehab, missing part of the ABB sessions, Sporadic playing at various shows this tour.The problem IMO all along has been SOBRIETY. For the first time since the '60s.He is going on stage clean. No Booze,no Drugs, not even Tobacco. Can you imagine the Angst he gone thru? I saw them twice this past fall,both times I felt Ronnie played adequately,But,You could feel the lack of confidence. But, So far this year, from the boots and the show in Rio, I think Ronnie is back in a big, big way! Just hope with the long tour he can maintain this level. Mick Jagger IMO has been there for him this entire time. From his appearrance at Ronnie's show last year till last saturday in Rio, did any one notice Mick yelling "Ronnie Wood" at the end of Midnight Rambler? This was a tip of the hat moment for his brillant playing during the song.Let's face it. All the Stones are getting old. Charlie's cancer. Mick needing more time between performances.Keith flubbing the intros....I'm 52, as the Doctor said Getting old ain't for wimps. Way to go Ronnie Wood!
