Rome concert

The possibility of this going ahead now seems unlikely as the Athens date is confirmed for the 25th June, leaving Milan on the 22nd as the only Italian date.

According to me, smartest move from them would be to play this concert in september, maybe as the last gig of the tour. They would really leave the scene with a Bang!

Everything is possible after the great succes in Rio.... - now they have tried it in Rio, and know what a big thing it is, and it is probabaly the last chance of doing a free consert in Europe.....

Imagine, a free consert in Rome in summertime would attract lots of people from all over Europe...

A ticket from Denmark to Rome is around 200 euro, so I would without doubt take a trip (extended weekend) to Rome to watch the Stones.....

After they could hold a free consert in Central Park in NY...... and who wouldn't go there????

Damn, I was really hoping for a Rome show. Gonna be in Rome with my wife and kid that week in June and had hoped the boys would play. Anyone know anything about the Milan show? Are tix still available? Is it worth it to take a train or car up from Rome?

Good point. I didn't consider the day of the week.

So, no update here?

I'll be in Europe during this time of the year and I would love to go to Rome if their would be a concert there. San Siro would be mighty awesome too.
I hope and pray this show will happen.

I hope for a Rome concert in September and perhaps for a Belgrade show too. But i'm not sure that this concert (Rome) will be a free gig. I mean, maybe two free concerts during the same tour is something "too much" for the Stones. If Billboard's statistics (i'll see them at the end of the year) are including audiences from free concerts, there is hope. Otherwise, if mr Cohl knows that the figure "attedance" includes only tickets, i doubt. Anyway, even a "regular" concert in Olimpico Stadium would be great!

Why not after Zagreb? Obviously they defintitely won't play in Lyon. There is a 5 days hole betwenn Zagred and Nurnberg.

Lyon is not up to now written off. They are maybe just waiting the 2nd show in Paris to be 95 % sold out. Currently, less 10,000 out of 80,000 are left,i.e. 87.5 %. I still hope the confirmation to be annouced at the same time as the 5th Spanish, the 2nd Portuguese and/or the 2nd Italian Shows. If 40 Licks was a North Tour, Bigger Bang could be predominantly South, letting apart UK and Ireland.

I hope they are NOT going to have a free concert in June as I am working.

Selfish I know but Sep would be much better for me.

I also dont think they will do anything free in the middle of the European tour if they do it it will be at the end, and they will announce it as late as possible so people still buy tickets for other shows.

10,000 tickets for the 2nd SDF ? I think there are more tickets still available.

There are about 9,500 tickets left at Ticketnet.
We may suppose there are about 7,000 tickets at France-Billet, don't you think ?

It's a pedestrian street, so this is not a serious consideration.

Agree. That means 80¨% sold out. Not bad 3 1/2 monthes from the venue. That is also a total of 144,000 capacity as of now. In the 80's and 90's the audience was 150,000. This will be matched after the first concert happened and surely before.

I also think the 2nd SDF will be sold out. And we should keep in mind that we still don't know who the warm-up acts will be. That coulb be suseful to sell about 15,000 tickets or so.

The world gets free Stones' concerts. During the licks tour, it was the Americans in Los Angeles (environment). This year, this is Brazil. How about Europe? We too deserve a free concert. Rome and its history would be perfect for such an event.

I second that emotion. On to Roma!

to the stones: memento mori, as the romans would say. Maybe this is the last chance to play there!
