Mine is the Decca export LP “Flowers”, the first album I baught in my life, back in 68, when I was 14 years young. Two years later when I went out to be a sailor for a few years I also baught it on a 8 track casette.
That time records was expencive (Lp £ 3) and hard to find when you where young and away from home, so I played again and again.
Some years ago I also found a French pressing and a friend of mine gave me another original one.
Still today I play the CD sometimes.

This setlist brings brings so many memories from scholdays and the seven oceans.

if i could count all the plays of the Stones music, for me Ya-Yas.....in the "pre-cd" era i wore out my vinyl copy and it still gets the most plays in the cd era

It's not THE best album, but "Goats Head Soup" is the one I have listened the most to. (Perhaps 2 or 3 times - just kidding)

Like our sailor friend says, the Stones albums are a diary of our lives.
To answer the thread, I have 60's weeks, or whatever it takes to lift my spirits.

It is changing all over the last 35 years, often the actual album has the first place. In the last time no official ones besides "ABB" and "Rarities". Otherwise boots like "It's A Gas in Paris" '76 and "Better than Real Rebirth" '89, "Place Pigalle" 1-4, "Back in the USA".

Being the lazy sort that I am, I tend to play one CD over and again until I'm bored to death with it. As I write this, I'm listening to Rarities for the umpteenth time. I really like that version of TD.

I play EXILE all the time, especially in my car on road trips! For me, it captures the Stones at their absolute peak of perfection! Second on my list is STICKY FINGERS and I'd have to say STRIPPED would be the third most played in my collection.

It's an underrated album in my opinion, listen to it on VINYL (like most Stones albums; sounds incredible...). Well, I guess it was a bit problematic between Mick and Keef at the time, could have been better if they got their sh#t together at the time, also slick production from Steve Lillywhite (U2 and the like)... but then again: it was the 80's....

and it's the STONES.

...always loved the Albums regarded as "weak" by some people... Undercover, DW and especially Emotional Rescue... true classics... ;-)

Well, almost exactly the same here. I was 12 years old. Still have the original as you do. Loved it when it was re-released on SACD. It's in fact a little "stupid" compilation....but it IS my first album ever. I still remember the moment I bought it ( together with me Mum ). So it'll always come out of the shelf and be played.....these days the SACD while looking at the original.

Believe it or not, Steel Wheels. Love that album and not ashamed to admit it!

i've played 'get yer yayas out' more than any other because i enjoy playing guitar to it since i was 14.

but, i also really like, ABB, NS, IORR and LIB.
