Top 13 songs that haven’t been played in the “modern” live era (since ’89) or have never been played that the band should try:

1. Out of Time
2. Mother’s Little Helper
3. Child of the Moon
4. Let it Loose
5. 100 Years Ago
6. Coming Down Again
7. Fingerprint File
8. Send it to Me
9. Slave
10. Hang Fire
11. Too Much Blood
12. Highwire
13. Keys to Your Love

Would also kill to see

One Hit to the Body
Play with Fire
Time is On My Side
Heart of Stone
How Can I Stop

which have been played but only sparingly and not for a long time!

Be nice to hear Hearts for Sale as well...always like that one.

Bill, last time they all played together was at that session...band sounds VERY tight on the Highwire recording, having just come off tour.

I don't recall Bill in the Highwire video. Was he gone, by then?

Keef's not on highwire, I believe it's mick doing the main guitar riff.

Oh I would love to hear Mother's Little Helper. I can see the grin on Mick's face when he sings "What a drag it is getting old"

It's so very lonely, you're 2,000 Light Years from home

re the Highwire video, Bill didn't show because he didn't want to fly, but he's on the track.

re Mother's Little Helper, they should get over themselves and play it. It's a great tune, who cares if a couple of idiots make wisecracks, they make age cracks anyway...grow some balls and sing Mother's Little Helper, I say!

Highwire is, IMHO, the last great Stones' riff.

I agree on your riff assessment, micwer, unless you count You Got Me Rockin' (pretty good, not great, I think)

YGMR was cliche, powerful but cliche. Highwire is a perfect simple Stones' riff.

You know, they just might be saving a few of those gems for one last go-around...
