Which version of Memo? If it's the one with Ry Cooder, it wins in my book. If not, too close to call.

Jiving rocks but Memo (the Performance version) is a way more solid song.

I like JSF enough to have it as a name on another board but MFT wins in my book - both versions - lyrics and music!

JSF is solid rock. And even more solid roll.

Memo From Turner from Performance wins (not the Singles-collection version).
Jiving is really good, but it runs a bit dry after a while. Taylor has some beutiful notes there, but the song itself is too simple, or not finished.

Memo From Turner is my favorite sing along song I can sing this song from the beginning to the end.

I always find it funny that's is very hard sing Stones songs from my head (this is probaly the reason that Stones nerver bore).

love 'em both. I remember seeing Keith on his second tour when Izzy Stradlin opened up and played JSF and thinking, "damn...the closing act should be playing the unheralded classic!"

frankly don't recall who played lead with the Ju Ju Hounds...and really don't remember how well the lead came off that night - but I think you know the answer to the first question - nobody could really touch MT's lead....

Izzy's lead guitarist was Rick Richards who also played w/the Georgia Satillites. It's a GREAT version indeed. Memo is great but Jivin is a Stones classic in my book!!!!
