Opinions are like @#$%&; everybody's got one. You Got Me Rocking and Sympathy For The Devil are great from my untrained ears' perspective!

Hey Mathijs?
Do you EVER have a GOOD thing to say about the Rolling Stones? Or are you only on this board because you are just an unhappy unsuccessful former musician?
Just wondering....

Ronnie certainly has made his guitar makes some interesting noises on SSC this tour.....as to Shattered...I actually liked it better this tour than Licks....if you listen to the Ottawa show boot....a number of people in our section laughed when Mick changed the lyrics from Bedbugs Uptown to Bedbugs in Hull.....Hull is a City directly north of Ottawa across the river in the province of Quebec.

theres over 25 posts on this thread saying what song(s) people havent rated on this tour and you highlight just one person's...strange

Funny, but about 7 posts above yours he actually HAS said something 'good', from what I can see....

For me She's So Cold was the highlight of the shows I went to.

You Got Me Rocking and Miss You are two songs I wish they would never play again..

Miss You and Get Of my Cloud.

Personally, I think that Miss You and HTW, when (perhaps not coincidence) the B-Stage is moving back and forth from the main stage, are both lacking in focus. Definately the two show lowpoints for me...

No wonder they don't play anything rare....people just bitch because they are living in the past. This is the Rolling Stones 2006.

i'm going to plump for Sway too

its a personal favourite and it was ballsy of them to attempt it. but sadly having heard the two versions so far i think its safe to say it doesn't work live

which may explain why they never attempted it before

some things are best left alone. that way they don't get tarnished

It all personal opinion...cause for me ...even a bad version of Shes So Cold works for me!!!!

I wish I never had to hear SMU again live....but it seems to be just fine every time I hear it at the show!!!!!

agree with you..I thought Shes So Cold was so much better than the unlistenable thrash that it was in 1981-82

and as much as I never wanted to hear Start Me Up again, it was surprisingly good both nights at MSG - although I'd rather they ditched it as an opener

Start Me Up on the B-Stage at MSG kicked ass! Keep it on the B-stage, its WAY better there.

Shattered on the B-Stage at MCI was woefully ragged.

Hey Mickschick!
Are you blind or just plain stupid?

I say Sympathy, Miss You, YGMR and Tumbling Dice.

The worst song played by the Stones this tour? Hm...

It Won't Take Long needed some more practice.
The first Sway, too.
Tumbling Dice is not bad, but boring after 30+ years of nonstop playing.
Shattered is a powersong. One of very few tunes, they played better in 1978-82, when they were younger.

But overall: There was no bad moment really.

Thanks for the support, Maumau !!!

Personally, I tired of SYMPATHY a few tours back and things have not improved. After 12 shows so far this tour, I am convinced that it needs a rest. The song has been lost in all the theatrics that go with it and it doesn't help that Keef often plays out of key during the solo's. Go back and listen to the original, bring on a couple percussionists, and send Chuck out on a macchiato run. Break out the acoustic guitars and put the real FIRE back into this all-time classic!!

Miss You / Tumbling Dice / You Got Me Rocking & Start Me Up on some nights.

I could do w/o Satisfaction (boring and never ending) and Start Me Up (muddy jumble)

Sympathy is not at its best by far these days but,I give them some credit for coming up with the new intro.

I don't what you are reading Mickschick but is it just me or is Mathijs just saying nothing but positive things here?!

Cheers,
