You must really enjoy Geddy Lee from Rush. If by chance you do enjoy Rush's music pick-up R30, great DVD with extremely good picture and audio.

Geddy Lee sounds to me like an elf on helium....either that or a 120 year old woman

I don't mind Plants voice per se... I just can't stand some of the Led Zep songs that have those "oh baby baby" lines... it just sounds like he's whining on those songs... more a problem with the lyrics than the voice.

But when he's singing "straightforward" tunes like: Good Times Bad Times, You Shook Me, Ramble On, Immigrant Song, Tangerine, Rock n Roll, When the Levee Breaks, Kashmir, he's great... Also a great blues singer (I Can't Quit you Baby, Since I've Been Loving You, I'm Gonna Crawl... just blistering blues).

"It's just that demon life has got me in it's sway..."

John Anderson of Yes has a voice even more grating than Geddy Lee's.

I don't see Gddy Lee's and Robert Plant's voices as being comparable. Geddy's just flat out annoys me I have to say.

I'm with you Chris! Geddy blows. He's the anti-Mick.

Plant is awful. Geddy is awful too (but he's handsome). The guy from Yes sucks. So does that imbecile from journey. I huge chunk of rythym-less 70's band have LVs that scream and are just awful...it's a long list.

bigfrankie--- Yo you can what you want. Be Ian Anderson has an incredible range for a man...his pitch is almost perfect and it is a far cry from a scream.....As for Robert Plant.... his tone is almost perfect... Rain song, battle of evermore, to name a few... are great examples... I hardly consider his howling a scream unlike a Poison or Scorpion lead singer.. thats a scream. Bot Anderson and Plant have great talents for using thier vocal ablity to LANSCAPE and PAINT the music and not just from a lyric point of view... these to men do have great Musicality with thier voices...MUCH different from the Stones but then again a different genre.... both are best at thier own genre... but being a music student and a true study of music history... Plants and Anderson are much more present in Current Text teachings than any other Contemporay vocalist... for thier genre. AWFUL tells me it's not your cup of tea......

Agreed- it's just a matter of taste. While I'm thinking of it- I think Plant is Ok on the Honeydrippers stuff- I ahven't listend to it in a long while. I don't care of Led Zep at all. I think I like about two of thier songs (don't knwom teh names)
