Or maybe Keef just doesn't like Led Zep?

From what I have read Keith is not a big fan of Zep( I don't think he can stand Plant's voice and I can understand that) but he has said that Page is a great player, I will try to dig the quote out.

On Keith's website, the 'ask Keith' section, he talks about Led Zeppelin. He said Bonham was a hell of a drummer and Page was a great guitarist. He said Plant was too much for him though (I've heard him say in other quote's he couldn't stand his voice). He said to him, Led Zeppelin IS Jimmy Page.

Didn't Jimmy Page played a solo on a Dirty Work song?

Keith hates Robert Plants voice...has been saying it since the 70's.

Yes, Jimmy Page playes on One Hit To The Body!

Never heard of a beef between them.

A point about Plant,

Quickly,

How many Zeppelin songs can you think of in which Robert Plant DOESN'T say the word "Babe or Baby?"

Robert Plant has moments where one can discern a "singing" voice. But for the most part, it is the sound of a squeezed lemon with vocal cords.

Here's what I've found some time ago (By the way, the mentioned song "Scarlet" is THE missing "outtake" I'd love to hear mostly, but I guess it'll show up never!):

On This Day In Led Zeppelin History
By Steve "The Lemon" Sauer

Today, Oct. 15, is the 30th anniversary of a real rarity: a song
Jimmy Page recorded on this day in 1974 with Keith Richards that has
still never been released. The song was called "Scarlet," and it
featured both Jimmy and Keith on guitar, with Keith providing vocals.
It also featured Ric Grech, formerly of Traffic, on bass.

According to an interview with Page in 1975, the track sounded like
it could have been recorded by Bob Dylan and the Band. "It sounded
very similar in style and mood to Blonde on Blonde tracks," he said,
comparing it to the 1966 album that included "Rainy Day Women #12 and
35" and "Most Likely You'll Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine."

Page said the time spent with Richards was "great, really good. We
stayed up all night and went down to Island Studios where Keith put
some reggae guitars over one section. I just put some solos on it,
but it was eight in the morning of the next day before I did that."

Some sources mention two other musicians on the track, one being
pianist Ian Stewart and the other being a drummer. In addition to
being the Rolling Stones' mentor, Stewart was a special guest on Led
Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll" and the namesake of "Boogie With Stu." As
for who played the drums on "Scarlet," Page said in 1975 that he
couldn't remember. Some sources point to Bruce Rowland, who was
between bands at the time of the recording. He had just completed a
project with Ronnie Lane & Slim Chance and was soon to join up with
Fairport Convention.

Page thought the recording of "Scarlet" might eventually be used for
the B-side of a Rolling Stones single, but this did not come to be.
One year after the track was recorded, there was a rumor that Page
had recorded a solo album. Rolling Stone writer Cameron Crowe asked
Page whether it was true, and the guitarist explained that there was
no solo album in the works. "Chalk that off to Keith Richards' sense
of humor," he told the young reporter. "He took the tapes to
Switzerland, and someone found out about them. Keith told people that
it was a track from my album. I don't need to do a solo album, and
neither does anybody else in the band [Led Zeppelin]," he
continued. "The chemistry is such that there's nobody in the
background who's so frustrated that he has to bring out his own LPs."

It should be noted that at the time of this writing, there is chatter
that Jimmy Page currently has a new solo album in the works. This
would be his first since the 1988 release of Outrider, which
contained several original rock instrumentals, one new collaboration
with Robert Plant, and the single "Wasting My Time." The U.K.
newspaper The Independent reported Aug. 27 that Page "is currently
planning an album with guest musicians, along the lines of the recent
Santana albums." A blurb in Rolling Stone provides further insight,
stating that "each track would feature him playing a different, rare
guitar" and that one ax rumored to have been owned by Chuck Berry has
been provided by singer-songwriter Dan Hicks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think KR opined once that Bonham, while a great drummer, plays to hard for Keith's tase...well put IMHO!

Great minds must think alike... this is about my exact feelings wrt LZ...

I wouldn't call Plant a bad singer by anymeans... but when he's singing some of those "oh baby baby" type lines it's too much.

"It's just that demon life has got me in it's sway..."

Robert has said he'd like to erase a lot of his vocals from those early LZ-albums where he goes overboard. Figuratively speaking, he didn't know where to put his hands when the rest of the band took off on those fantastic instrumental flights. Or, if you hate LZ, he got as bored as you...

Well, it's strange for me that keith thinks bonham is a hell. Also, what about baby baby when plant sings?. Keith almost always used to say honey, baby, yeah.... In fact, remember "honey honey honey" in talk is cheap.
