Marquess,

Be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for them. There are smarter ways to acquire cd's through this site. If you must buy them, go through ebay first. Trust me on this one.... Torrents are too difficult to understand and trading mp3's is tricky. For 20 bucks a month you can go to www.rockpassion.com and download tons of great Stones shows. If you must buy one cd, buy the "Brussels Affair: Definitive Edition" or the Stones live in Chicago with Muddy Waters 1981. At least that's just my opinion. These two are my favourites of all time along with "RSVP" the alternate Beggars Banquet.

you could pick up the Red Cross Hurricane CD at MSG, if you don't have it allready.
They are still selling that one, aren't they

Open-g,

The Red Cross Hurricane cd was for sale last night at MSG? I don't have it yet! I will be looking for it tomorrow for sure.

Thats what Rober Bagel says
[iorr.org]

(and as Keith said, "It's about as close to home as you can get"), to the fact that the special Hurricane CDs were available in the concourse for a $5 donation to the Red Cross (great cause, great hard to get Stones recording).

Hi i'm new to the post but have been reading it for the last year...with the internet you really dont have to buy these type cd's anymore. The last few trips i've made to nyc to get 'special edition' cds were disappointing as they are selling a lot of cdrs now. rolling stones fans are lucky because of places like rockpassion and the rocks off torrent thread which enables us to get all of this great stuff...sometimes for free...with my handy epson printer that actually prints on the cd's themselves i can make my own cd's...save your money and spring for a fast internet connection.

Torrents too difficult to understand..? what is there to understand,
if you have the right program and client installed it's a matter of clicking
the boot you like and there you go...

I was told that viruses can be spread through torrents by the computer geek who came over to my apartment a couple of days ago so I am reticent about doing anything of the sort. I have accounts with dimeadozen etc. It's just that I don't know which users are trustworthy...Plus I haven't figured out how to do torrents yet.

those guys who always talk about viruses are also the same guys who pay 99 cents for a song download or scold you for using unlicensed software...i've never gotten any viruses from any music downloads...

Well you can download as many files as you like, but I do still think there is a difference in the real BEDSPRING SYMPHONY on vinyl from TAKRL and a computer file with the same stuff.

Bjorn
And what is that difference?

I still have my original stereo cassette recording off the King Biscuit Flower Hour that I made in 75 and it is still in good shape, but I have been meaning to copy it to CD.
