changes to setlist for 2nd leg-predictions?

any predictions for setilist changes for the 2nd leg of the US tour?

Here's mine:

1. Happy will make its way into Keith's set

2. Gimme Shelter will break into the warhorses' portion

3. For mixing it up we'll here for the first time on this tour OR more of:

- Under My Thumb

- Let's Spend The Night Together

- Monkey Man

- She Saw Me Coming

- Driving Too Fast

- Dead Flowers

- When the Whip Comes Down or Respectable on the B Stage

Without these or similar changes, it'll be difficult for me to decide to buy tix for more shows, having seen 3 shows that contained only minor changes.

I sure hope you're right about the setlist changes. I would be alot more enthusiastic about trying to see them again on this tour (still up in the air on that) if I knew the setlist would see some serious changes.

I don't think we'll see Respectable,Monkey Man,or Let's Spend The Night Together on this tour. It's time for something different not the same stuff that they've been playing on recent tours. It would defeat most of the purpose of changing the set list - people who saw them on the last couple of tours who are seeing them for the first time this tour would get the same songs that they heard last time.

They may change a couple of songs but don't expect much more, hopefully Keith will not do Imfamy ever again. Although they may do SOL, God Forbid.
Basically it will be the same lame set that they have been playing since the tour started.

I assume this post was intended as a humorous post. Folks seeing this tour will be seeing the same songs they have seen on any/all previous tours.....

Well, yes, for the most part.At least when they play Get Off Of My Cloud or As Tears Go By or Live With Me,there is a decent chance that people who have seen them on multiple tours over the last 12 years or so are witnessing the songs for the first time.Respectable,Let's Spend The Night Together, and Monkey Man have all been played on every night of the '94,'97,and '99 tours respectively. They even brought Monkey Man back into heavy rotation for the Licks Tour as we all know.I just think that if they are going to go through the trouble of changing the set list, they should add in more infrequently played songs or start taking songs off of the never played list.

I'm really interested to hear more songs off of A Bigger Bang. She Saw Me Coming, Look What The Cat Dragged In and Streets of Love would all be interestign to hear live and I'm sure they'll all sound great. I"m trying to get tickets to one of the United Center shows in Chicago. Maybe some more stuff off Bridges to Babylon would be cool and more 60s stuff. Hopefully HTW and SFTD will be dropped. I know those songs backwards and fowards and so does the audience.

Im sure there will be a few changes especially in places like Boston where they have already played but I would not expect a major over hall. Also I sure don't think they will drop HTW. of SFTD. In fact I really do not think SFTD. will be dropped in the stadium shows because it works very well and they spend alot of money on all the high tech piro stuff for that song so I think it will stay but they may leave it out of some of the areana shows. Plus as far as Im concerned its the best song for the stadiums.

Yeah I know. I love the older material, but I only really want stuff we haven't heard like you mentioned. Of course I'd love to hear Dandelion or Under My Thumb. I would LOVE to hear them. But I was also growing up in the 90's and I love the new stuff just as much. Bridges to Babylon was the new album when I was in my teens and I love it. Songs like Lowdown, Might as Well get Juiced and Anybody seen my baby are up there with YCAGWYW and IORR. Saint of Me is up there in my top 3 probably.

So far so good with just two shows into the second US leg:

3 predictions proved correct: Happy, LSTNT, and Respectable on the B-stage; guaranteed that Gimme Shelter will be there soon, as will When the Whip Comes Down;

As for those who don't like the changes because they've been played on recent tours...that wasn't the point...the point was PREDICTING the changes...for better or worse. I personally like them and think we'll see a few more surprises not listed here.

Great prediction and now we have a great set list. The best change in Boston was dropping Nightime is the Right Time and substituting a real Stones song instead.

Good call with Happy, LSTNT, and Respectable on the B-stage. I was at The Boston show and My faith has been renewed.

yikes! Gimme Shelter played tonight...and Memory Motel and Rocks Off...I'd never have predicted that! Under My Thumb and a couple more from ABB before the end of the US tour would be icing on the cake!

1975 and 1977 respectively

Forget it. The modern era Stones fans dont know them, so the band wont take chances like that in case the place goes quiet for five minutes

Gazza...thanks, but I'm not gonna consider changing professions just yet...but if Under My Thumb or one of those other ABB tunes show up, I'll be offering free virtual palm readings to all IORR members! :-)
