Just what is the greatest Stones album? A lot of people will say Exile. Some may say Some Girls. Others could argue Sticky Fingers or Let It Bleed. So we'll do this the James Lynn way. We'll pit 2 random albums against one another and see what happens. Here's round 1:

if you had HOT ROCKS, (which everybody did), then you didn't need through the past darkly....get FLOWERS, some great tracks you can't get on any lp.

I'm wondering then if "greatest hits compilations" and live albums should be included in these album wars. Okay, we'll do only the studio albums then. Get ready for a brand new round 1.

Definitely IORR. Love it all except the title track, exp. FF, Luxury & TTNG.

In highschool, when you have to give your yearbook quote, I used the inside of TTPD as mine. It was a dedication to Brian.

I thought it fit much better than "if you can think it, you can achieve it" or "if you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours".

Can't believe there are so many votes for IORR (album, not site.)
I'm going with Black and Blue.

Each time I listen to IORR, I begin with " Luxury", with those exacerbated, crunchy, hectic riffs on 5 strings directly coming from Exile. This album has no weak song. The guitars of Taylor and Keith intertwins so much that it is a real delight. Don't talk about those summits : Time waits for noone and Fingerprint File. I think IORR is concept album. B&B by nature is more of a collection of great songs.
