I have a used Satanic Majesties LP, one with the 3-D photo in front (given to me by an unsuspecting brother-in-law). I know they made only a few because it cost too much to produce. Can anyone tell me if that is a valuable collector item (meaning worth $$$) or are they fairly common amongs Stones collectors?

I dont know if its worth $$. i realy dont. but it sounds like a realy cool item to own!

pretty common....i picked-up a beat-up one on ebay about 5 or 6 months ago for $8.00....i guess clean copies go for anywhere between $15 to $40 range?

General minimum retail value approx. $35. General maximum retail value (condition etc.) approx. $65 - $85 though I've seen people ask for more.

you can always find some nut out there wholl pay about a hundred bucks, dont push it though.

A clean mono copy should get quite a bit more.

Is it mono or stereo? Decca or London? Such things will also affect the price. Green label mono Deccas are the hardest to find I believe. I have a mono London 3D cover. It's cool!

If it has the original red inner sleeve with white swirly patterns then that will make it more valuable.

I paid £35 for mine, (stereo).

A 2 hour drive is NOTHING to see the Stones.

I sold my copy for £20 back in 1991.

I have a Brasilian mono pressing in mono that I paid 75 bucks for... Of course the 3D cover with the insert in mono (any country) is what everyone wants. The mono mix crashes with authority on such tracks like "Gomper". Mono or nothing else for sure on that one! And this album deserves to be clean. I really don't like listening to this lp if it has too many scratches on it. There are too many quiet parts.

Green Decca Labels are Stereos. Open Decca worth More than Boxed Green Decca. Turquoise Decca is the UK Mono. US Mono 1st pressings on Maroon Boxed London Labels, Subsequent Monos are on Bright Red Boxed labels. US Stereos are the most common, at least 20 Different label variations pressed with the 3-d covers. All of the US stereos worth between $5-$50, depending on condition.

US monos $25-$250
UK Mono $25-$150
UK Stereo $15-$100
