Aside from a spelling mistake your only other error is in the order. Aside from that, can't see any problems.

Generally, I would put Now!, GHS, and DW higher, and ABB and VL lower. I like how high you have Out of Our Heads, though.

I'd put Goat's Head higher and Emotional Rescue much higher. Don't ask me why, but I just love Emotional Rescue.

brilliant second : steel wheels (cold cold cold like an ice scream cone)
third : a bigger bang (sorry for all the people that think it's their best album since exile). By the way keith always say "it's our best album since exile".

Anyway the stones are still my favorite band, but it's harder and harder to defend them. Remember Keith insulting Elvis because of his vegas shows. today stones are bringing las vegas show all around the world (including price of tickets, of course...)

Emotional Rescue is underrated.

I'd put it at number 5 or 6, depending on the day.

emotional rescue near the bottom with satanic . undercover in top 8.

We now the top ones, but these are very often underrated:
Black And Blue
Goat´s Head Soup
Between The Buttons
Emotional Rescue
Steel Wheels
IORR

The Top 3 are easily:

Sticky Fingers
Let it Bleed
Beggars Banquet...

And that's pretty much the proper order as well...

Put all the others in any order you want.

If you're looking for the album out of the remaining bunch that has the most amount of great songs on it, that's probably Exile.

Aftermath and Some Girls follow up from there...

Beyond that it's all "goats head soup", a song here, a song there.

Please note: From GHS to DC the competition is very tight. DW is by far the worst.
On the other hand, even it has got great songs.

You're not "wrong" Ket, after all this is your list and your opinion. If I made the list I'd put Tattoo You, Undercover and Black And Blue lower and Between The Buttons, December's Children and definitely Steel Wheels higher. Strictly my opinion though. To each their own.

GHS is the best album by anyone, ever. Each song is fantastic, great feeling and great arrangements. It´s so different from all other (Stones) albums. Unique. It propably is not the greatest rock´n´roll album, but it´s the greatest album. Even if anything I have said so far was bullshit, the album has got "Winter". GHS is the first Stones album I have heard (taped it from a friend and bought after IORR was released). The album is my first love. Period ;-)

I think Goat's Head is great as well, but I think of it as the great lost Mick solo album more than anything else.

Compared to other Stones albums it comes up a bit short. Being your first Stones album though, I can understand the special place it has in your heart.

Well there aren't that many Exile songs that totally suck, it's just that there's 5 or 6 "substandard" numbers on there that bring down the 6 or so classic brilliant tunes on it.

It is hard to rank stones albums and I admit 6 months from now I probably would change the list again. I am surprised how many people love Emotional Rescue though, but then again I love Undercover and many stones fans rank it among their worst. To be honest it is only SW and DW that I really really don't like, the rest all have their moments. and T&A is right, his opinion is the only one that matters To all the posters here I wish you all a happy holidays, even the Taylorites hee hee, BTW I watched the LAGTRS dvd last night and he was bloody brilliant! as is the rest of the band!

it's clear that we all have our pet favorites, and in many cases that has something to do with where we were in our evolution of adopting the band. ER is a good case in point for me - it was the second studio release after I got into the Stones and I was still riding that "high." The Stones could do now wrong in a sense. Critically-speaking, the album doesn't hold up with the best ones in their catalogue, but it will always be among my faves.

BornOntheBayou got it nearly perfect. You need to put Out of Our Heads and Between the Buttons in a 3rd category above the also rans.

Ket its amazing how we agree. I particularly like your ranking of SW, which is the worst thing they ever released.

To throw a tired twist on this...where would Wandering Spirit rank...I'd say 5th or so.
