NEW RELEASE IN 2006

Reading all those threads about not being satisfied with the last
releases (esp. cd1 of live licks & rarities) i wonder what they'll
bring out after the abb-tour?

DVD of the Rio show.

another pointless live album that will sell about 12 copies and another 'special edition' of ABB

or maybe another 'rarities' album as the new one was such a great seller. There should be plenty of mileage in the Rarities series if they keep insisting on filling the releases with 'non rarities'!

i hope while their name is still on the pages that they release another studio album...like the old days...still hot on tour...

I know some folks don't like the live albums and that they don't sell well, but I was extremely glad that they released Live Licks. I think the Stones are a bit differnt every tour and I like to have a live album from each.

whoa ha ha ha! No way, it won't happen. Old days are over, not even Mick is that productive. While Keith has become a lazy bugger writing only bullshite like "Infamy" and stealing riffs from Ronnie ("Rough justice"). Best thing we can expect is another live album (as usual) or one more special edition of A BIGGER BANG (probably adding a live DVD "bonus" disc as it seems to be the actual industry standard).

If they will release another studio album with new stuff in 2006 you can all call me Captain @#$%& (though sorry bv won't allow that because of offending language)

Anyone have any ideas what might be on the live album?

the intro
SMU
RJ
ONNYA
Night Time
SFTD
JJF
As Tears Go By
TD
Back of My hand
Bitch
Infamy
she's so cold
maybe Streets of love (if they do it)

My guess for the live album to be expected would be:

Brown Sugar
Street Fighting Man
Paint It Black
You Can't Always Get What You Want
Start Me Up
It's Only Rock 'n Roll
Angie
Honky Tonk Women
Happy
Gimme Shelter
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction

As an offspring to 40 Licks and the whole Licks tour, I think that 4 Flicks is absolutely f*^"#€% great. Nice "off the road" material and nice shows....

Yeah, I think someone in the stones camp is gonna get 'hot rocks' cd 1, hit shuffle on the cd player, and the new order of tracks will be "Rarities Vol 2" !!

Seems like a long time ago now, but I remember standing on Lansdowne Street in the heat and the haze of late August. People scurrying around everywhere, helicopters from the local news stations and the Boston PD buzzing overhead. I took shelter from the late afternoon sun in the darkness created on the street side of the famous "Green Monster"--the enormous wall designed to challenge hitters swinging to Fenway's short left field.

I was enjoying the relative calm and cool while leaning against the cab of an enormous tractor-trailer truck parked in the shadows. On the cab door, in beautiful stenciled letters:

"The Record Plant Remote. New York City"

So they've got that, anyway. If they release anything, it damn well better include "Back Of My Hand."

It depends on how the concert will be. If they do a bad performance, they won't release a DVD of this show. They'll probably mix it with other live performances as usually.
