So apparently they got trouble filling up the Tokyo shows.
I was away for a few days, and in my hotel room there were advertisements for the Tokyo shows on Japanese television.

They can still advertise even if the show are sold out. That would be the case if the spots were planned few weeks ago to be aired at such and such dates.

Does anybody know whether there is an opening act for the upcoming shows in Japan? If it says 7pm on the tickets, does that mean JJF starts at 7pm too?

They have not had any opening acts when they have played in Japan in the past.

I would not count on an opening act. I would be there shortly after the announced time.

It's always possible. They need to end the shows in time for everyone to get home by train, is the basic problem.

But that's true in Paris as well. It basically means that by 11pm the show should be over. Enough time for some opening act of say an hour.

Yes Richie Kotzen, Ex-Poison or ex-Mr.Big? will plan to open up the show.

Adhering to my heuristics, you can enjoy shopping cheap and funny un-official souvenirs on the street or the pedestrian bridge between the station and the venue.
