They call the Saitama venue "Arena", but it is convertible into a 37,000 capacity stadium, which means 30,000 for Stones.

Whilst I am engaging in a joyful dance I have a question
That page doesn't allow you to buy tickets does it?
When do the presales start for platinum members...?
@Gazza:
"Totemo subarashii! Watashtachi wa Nihon ni ikumasu! Yatta!"
means: "Totally cool. I am going to Japan. .."
It would be impressive if he knew how to write it. But you could do that
too. Just pick up a phrase-book.

Whilst I am still engaging in a joyful dance:

So once it turns up on tickets.rollingstones.com I can use the presale code I got from them in May?

Thanks bv. But you have to buy a membership and I do not know if it is already leading you to the ticketcenter in Japan.
Did anybody try out???

Those pages are hidden and not public. Those shows may never happen. They will probably happen, but don't take a non-linked "hacked" URL as a confirmation. If Japan is selling well we will get all of these. If it is selling poor then they will just be what they are today - hidden pages with info about shows that never happened.

Oh Dude!
So Sapporo might also not happen?!
That would be so unfortunate...

All of the European dates now on sale were "hidden" in the same way, before being confirmed. No guarantee though. But I think most of these Japanese dates are likely to be accurate.

Correct. I agree most of them will happen. Because the Stones are hot now. In Europe. I am not an expert on Japan but they have selected new places, so lots of local people may see them without having to go to Osaka or Tokyo. I think the Japan tour will be a great success.

Are hot now? Where? Even in Holland you can still buy tickets. Of course they are a main act but wouldn't call it a "hot" act nowadays.

France. Norway. Sweden. Wembley. Tickets are going fast. I don't know how many tickets are left for A.dam arena. If it is 100 obsctructed view or what. Any FOS left? Any field tickets left? All FOS in Germany gone.

If you really want to look at it the pessimistic way you may find some tickets around. But the fact is the Stones have the fastest selling stadium tour, taking into account the price level. Bergen sold out in 30 minutes. Many fans did never get any tickets. If the Stones charged U2 prices they would sell out any large city stadium in Europe 2 times. That's a fact.

Field tickets Arena 2: no problem.. (just tried to get the max of 8).but they are not as hot as during the Licks tour IMO. I'm not pessimistic but a hot band sells there tickets within a day. Like they did in Holland since Voodoo Lounge.

And to add to bv's legitimate points.
You might not like the backup musicians with the Stones, but U2 uses taped backup.
You might not like the weaving with the stones, but U2 only has echo filled riffs that don't add up to nothing.
And to those who say that Robbie Williams delivers. Well yes, but don't ask what he is delivering.

Just to add that Paris sold out in five days, which never did happen before. Belgium did even better : 1 or 2 days. Milano, Spain and Portugal will take that same path.

How things have changed! Tokyo prices are now the cheapest in the world. Of course that $153 price is for almost every seat in the stadium. Saitama Arena should be great.

But it's not on the site yet!
Is Sapporo going to happen?

Re: Japanese Tour Dates?

I would think that Saitama will happen if they are going to do an arena. It will sell out in a second. Sapporo, Sendai and Nagoya, I would not be so sure. I wonder whether the Stones can sell out Stadiums in those markets -- maybe, but I would think that the prices would need to be about 12,000 - 15,000 per ticket, not 18,000.
