The performance I like best is Mick performing Sweet Thing and Don’t Tear Me Up in 1993

There was this skit in the early 2000's with Mick acting as a punk rocker. He looked completely like he did on the 1978 tour, only 20 years older. Only saw it once.

I was 16 in 1978. It did not go unnoticed and I would say it did not go over well. Very well remember my friends gave me tons of crap about. Jaggers horrific voice that night didn’t help matters

It's a still from the video. Watch the video - Mick's tongue was that close to Ronnie's face.

I had turned 14 years old a few weeks prior when I watched that episode live...
thought that Mick was licking Keith. That Monday morning, I found out that it was actually Ronnie when the burnouts were talking about the show in the back of the middle school bus.

I've been hooked ever since.

I finally saw this documentary today. I thought it was very well done. I might watch it again soon. It starts up with very complex mashup of different performances on SNL. There's a lot of focus on the music of the cast members and the show itself as much as the musical guests. And some of the stories are quite dramatic - as you can imagine Sinead O'Connor's story pretty much tops the list. Anyway it was a excellent film, recommended for anyone that's interested in musical performances on live television.

It was good but there's so much they left out. George Harrison with Paul Simon for example. I realize they had limited time but the music of the cast members was a bit overblown and maybe could've been in their own special.
