Hi ,
i am looking for a small amp, maybe 15 watt? I want to practise in my living room with my telecaster. I want to have nearly a Keith Richards - Sound. I know it is very difficult. But maybe anybody have an idea.
Thanks for help
Regards
Thomas

Try out a Fender Pro Junior. It's a small valve amp & sounds great. Though it's 15 watts, it still might be a little too loud... Neighbours, neighbours!

A Keith Richards sound? I'd say a Fender Blues Junior. 15W but very expensive. The sound is awesome, though.

I use my computer and "Native Instruments, Guitar Rig"
great mic + amp simulation.
it also plays wave and mp3 files and lots of other goodies

are you talking about Keith's glassy tube tone like Midnight Rambler?
The Blue Tube by Tubeworks warms up almost any guitar-amp combination.
I use a Marshall MG30DFX which can be quite loud, but has the all-important headphone jack to maintain peace in the community.

I had a Blues Junior and got rid of it., very boxy sounding and I hate master volume amps. If you get one make sure you get a decent OD pedal like a Fulltone OCD to push it.

I have several great amps but for a great Stones sound at reasonale volume I highy recommend an Atomic Space Tone, awesome Tube reverb and Tremeolo and great tweed like tone.

Michael Swart is great to deal with as well, I believe there is a 2-3 month wait for these amps.

I live in North Carolina where we are lucky enough to have some great amp builders like M. Swart, Steve Carr and Greg Germino.

Germino in pacticular builds fantastic vintage Marshall style amps and is also a true Gentleman and is very helpful and available to talk.

If you must get a Fender get an old 60's Black Face Princeton Reverb.

Not sure if you can get Keith's sound (if you can at all with any amp), but the Pignose is a great little practise amp. See [www.pignose.com]

I would second that. Obviously there are better amps but if you live in a condo or apartment or something the Junior is a nice little amp and it might keep the neighbors from stoning you if you were playing a larger amp.

Good sound and reliable for what it is. Again a small practice amp.........
