That was a great day! I was mad at the time because Lou slept through 90% of Keith's talk and I thought it was crappy because another fan would have killed for that opportunity.
Haven't seen you since then, hopefully at one of the NYC preparties. Going?

Well, it is a cover so by definition not original. Same goes for their early work but doesn't mean it is not great to listen to.
I ment 'not very original' in the sense that Keith doesn't add or change anything significant. He just does the song like Lou Reed used to do it.
Sure, the beat is much more relaxed though. It would have fit on Crosseyed Heart.

So, a junkie song? Seems like Keith is imitating Lou's way of talking rather than actually singing. Suits him well. The song is a bit one dimensional, more of a groove rather

He's cool, confident and in the zone; an absolute master of his craft makes it look effortless and easy, which those in the know will tell you it's anything but. And, oh yeah ... he's 80 years old.
