Does anyone know who designs the concert tour shirts?

Do you mean the concert tour shirts which have the same motif as the tour posters? Done by different artists, some are credited in the 'Tour Posters' threads.

I don't think they can get worse than the last Detroit shirt. They played at Ford Field and the shirt had a Dodge car on it.

When I was at the merchandise tent, we were wondering what they were thinking.

Dodge supplied Ford in the early days and were based in the area.

Many years ago Mick and Charlie were involved with tour merchandise design. These days The Rolling Stones are a commercial machine, with hired designers, P.R. people, multiple designs, high prices and commissions on merchandise.

I can not see any reason why I should have the new album in ten different vinyl designs. Equally I can not see why I should spend my savings on stacking up tons of T-shirts designed, per show and per tour.

I am with you there. One version of the album and one T-shirt per tour is how I roll.

(And that's too many T-shirts as it is!)

I like to get a few but this time round as it could be last time I don’t know how many I’ll get. A toss of official & bootlegs. Depends on design & cost.

Don't worry about it, there will still be T-shirts long after the band's done touring...

My most precious Stones shirts are those very few ones I use for special occations, like the blue/white striped Argentina shirt, used at the Fonda show, also the large graffity style "GLASTON BURY" shirt, but hard to wear because then I have to wash it afterwards.

Some are still sealed, Voodoo Lounge shirts, and then also some 1984 IORR Fan Club shirts, grey and light blue, I like home made fan club shirts more than those done by mass production these days.

I do still wonder why I got hold of three of the black BRIXTON 1995 T-shirts, rushing into the show for a front position, some times you get stuff just because you know they will be sold out after the show.

That looks similar to my closet. Makes me wonder how many of us have the same stuff.smiling smiley On a sour note, or financial help I have to say after the Bigger Bang I'm not impressed with the designs anymore. Once in a while there's a good gig poster. That's my focus lately, and tour books too.

My favourites are the red Indio/Las Vegas longsleeved raglan shirt and a red No-Filter wifebeater I got on that tour, great for showing off my skinny muscles!
