Hardcore fans are not the target audience of a single after the album is already released. But they video will be watched and the song will get more attention on (social) media.

The kid starring in this was great in Renfield. Held his own as a comedic foil to Nicholas Cage. This could be a charming video if he's playing a role like the guy clowning around in Bob Dylan's Duquesne Whistle (2012).

And since the Stones themselves don't show up, maybe some inattentive 30 somethings will be drawn to the video unaware of who the Stones are, how old the Stones are, even if they're wearing a Stones shirt that they picked up at Target because they thought the tongue looked cool. Savvy move by Mick not to mess it up...! Maybe this band is eternally young, just stepping back from the close ups before fading away.

I'm down. 2024 will be dramatic. I hope it's a triumph.

I really hope that this new video means we might be getting a physical single. Stick the remix on the b-side and they'd sell a load (to us, anyway).

Very strange video with a little surprise in the middle and a twist at the end. It will be interesting to see what the young folks think of it.

Not my cup of tea, will never watch again.
I like videos like It's Only Rock n Roll or She's So Cold.

Haven't they rather missed the boat here? Seems this track was blowing up (quite a bit of airplay here in London etc) about a month ago.

Very strange video was my immediate reaction!

They should have given this track to a DJ and do not record it at the first place . It is a catchy tune but too far away from what old farts used to.

And for the video... Nothing is wrong with the video, but also nothing to do with 'classical' Stones either. Totally in vein with 'Scarlet', 'Criss Cross' and 'Living In The Heart Of Love' videos.

Up there with Duquesne Whistle as a never watch again vid ....

I like the song, but that video kind of sucks. Totally unrelated to the tone or the song. Should have made it a “dance video” and the Stones should have appeared. Maybe their worst video clip.

The video is fine, I watched it only once, as I have to admit.

Lousy video and remix of a filler song.

This one's really deep....which makes me feel like a shallow person that I like the video for Angry considerably more!

Oh damn. Did you see her hard nipples early on, just disastrous but seriously this one is miles behind the "Angry" video. I hope the conservatives are happy though.

The two weakest songs on the record; Mess it up and Angry.

Wow, I'm surprised by the negative comments. I thought it was quite good, maybe the best Stones music video since Love Is Strong.

The actor is excellent. I sense that it was Mick's idea, subconsciously expressing regret at the loose life he's lead.

Rockman is right that it's ripping off Dylan's Duquesne Whistle. And it also resembles a credit card commerical, which is perfect for the Stones.

It's not Kenneth Anger, but it'll work.

It's not a bad video at all...except I probably won't watch it again.

I think the point of a music video is to want to watch it repeatedly...this for whatever reason just doesn't do it.

I think some shots of the band playing in some fashion would have helped, maybe? I dunno...there's nothing bad per se about the video, other than you watch it once and, ok, got it, move on.

Hmm, aside from Sweet Sounds I feel most of HD is pop rock (minus roll). Also I think there's not much reason to reach down for deep philosophical meaning with the record. Maybe that's the direction they wanted? Anyhow, the Angry video fits the mold better in my opinion. If you love it I say don't pay attention to my comments and have the time of your life. Cheers!
