“Come on, Paul,” Jagger shouts, “let’s hear some bass.”

Love this song already.. perhaps my favorite so far off the album.

Not quite it's "let's hear seuming" (with the Liverpudlian accent!), too bad he says it as the bass solo is about to finish !

That stop and go simple guitar riff is great, reminds me a bit of "Eazy Sleazy" and of course of "Summer Romance" and "Where The Boys Go".

Hard to believe this high energy stuff is coming from a bunch of old geezers !

May very well be right... winking smiley

But myself, and several other reviewers hear "let's hear some bass".

'Come on Paul, let's hear some bass,' roars Mick on the next track, Bite My Head Off, and former Beatle McCartney obliges with a heavily distorted bass solo on a rousing, punky number.

Nice try, I love punk rock but it is a boring song. I'm disappointed.I like the sound anyway.

Wow!
Dunno why Mick was worried that Paul wouldn't want to do this track...

Best song they've recorded since Love Is Strong

My first impression wasn’t positive: sounds like a Never Mind the Bollocks outtake. However, I do like Paul’s fuzz-bass, and Ronnie’s lead-work that follows. Mick’s ‘mimicking’ Paul introduction is amusing. A pretty OK track.

Apparently, qobuz version is a clean one. Censored part is at 0.32.

Everyone is talking about this track being a Sex-pistols kind of 70's punk track. Sure, but what put a smile on my face was when I noticed that it reminded me a lot of the proto-punk they did in the 60's like Miss Amanda Jones! Having a sixties legens and one of the pioneers of fuzz bass on there does help of course winking smiley

Oh man what a FANTASTIC song this is... But I Ain't on a leash, Ain't on a chain...

Too bad the Atmos version on Apple Music is censored.

Very catchy riff... reminds me of Easy Sleazy... Mick sings punk well

Yes that "stop and go" riff is very close to "Eazy Sleazy" ! It will get more attention here ;-) And it will be interesting to see what those who "hated" EZ think of BMHO !

I actually dislike this. The CAN do “punk” as established by Some Girls, but this is just a vehicle for McCartney’s bass solo. As great as that IS, it can’t save this I’m sorry to hear.

So I thought this early snippet might have been used for BMHO, but nope
[www.youtube.com]

It doesn't sound that remarkable now that we have all these great songs and hooks on HD !

If y'all are complaining about this song, I'd like to hear some of the wonderful, earthshattering stuff you're writing and recording!

Kinda a mix between "Hold On To Your Hat" and Ronnie's "Knock Your Teeth Out".

Made me smile, I'm digging it!

Paul's bass is Amanda Jonesish.

Elmo beat me to it. I immediately heard 'Hold on to your Hat' in there. But (like I said in 'Depending on U' thread) Andy Watt hears this all from a new, younger angle.

Agree Elmo, don't get all the complaining.

Can someone please tell this non-musically trained individual, who's guitar playing/solo comes in after McCartney's bass blast? Ronnie? Love this track as wellthumbs up
