Super glad for all the fans that got in. Surely a night to remember! And for the rest of us, great that it was filmed.

So Lady Gaga is NOT that small ! Didn't Ronnie describe her as a "tiny thing" (or something like that) in the NME interview ?

Didn't you clock the size of her heels ?

Miracle she could stand up ... more like bloody stilts. grinning smiley

Nope hadn't seen that but yes they must have been impressive since she's 1m55 according to Google !

Wow, that sounds pretty bad, slow, Keith fumbling around :-(

Looking forward to hearing WWW.

to be fair it's a 12 second clip with bad sound quality

Well, something that's in tune doesn't suddenly sound out of tune in bad sound quality. But I'm with you that maybe the rest of tune was better.

that is a valid point

Bad sound or not Mivks voice live comparison to the studio, autotune much.

There is not so much autotune on this record. When it is being used, you hear it. Mostly on the backing vocals during the choruses, more on Angry than on the rest of the tunes. Mostly, Mick's vocals are as strong as they have been live for the past few tours. But of course, you can't let this opportunity slide to make a negative remark about Mick.

What are the chances of the pro-shot footage being put up somewhere soon…

Everyone entitled to their own opinion, but come on.....

....the guys are all around 80 years old, have just knocked out one of their best albums in 40+ years, have put on a gig in NYC last night, and still we have people wanting to pick holes and moan.

Please.....please just be grateful and thankful the guys are still here and still rockin !!

Big thanks to The Rolling Stones !!!!!!!!!

In small clubs, it's quite normal that you don't hear the vocals well in the first row because the speakers are far to the sides from your ears and you have the drums in front of you and Keith's and Ronnie's amps, both of which are not famous for having them dialed in at room level, to say the least grinning smiley
It's got nothing to do with lack of autotune or things like that.
There's a few videos from further in the back, for example in one SSOH clip, Mick sounds exactly like on the record and you can hear him very well. Keefriffhards will say that it must be a playback then.

Works both ways man, in the same clip you are bashing Keith for being out of tune like its sounds crap because of him.

Well, I know how a video taken in front of the stage affects the sound of a band. Vocals are bound to sound weak and distant, but the guitar amps three meters in front of you don't lie. You have to be able to make a distinction between performance and the sound and mix of the PA. But as I said, maybe the rest of the song was better and Keith just had a hiccup there.

On another note, I would have guessed that Keith would play this one in Open G? Hopeyfully we,ll hear a clip from the verse to see how that translates live.

Now I have seen more clips. And longer. I will go back to the album - fast. Right now. (Why just standing there when the songs are made to sound loud with lots of noise from the guitars???) This was a little weak...I have seen 15 year old girls on youtube, that plays Angry a lot better - with the attitude and open G from the album. Let´s be fair. Proof do exist.

Yeah, as much as the album sounds glorious (these guitars on Angry or BMHO !) they sound very, very "thin" and "skeletal" here, odd since the Stones and their team would hear/know that a lot better than us. Why use the hollow body on Angry or BMHO, the Telecaster sounded a lot "louder" on JJF, I suppose it must have been the best "option" they could come up with.

goddamn! that is a fantastic version of shattered

mick all over the place dancing and strutting away like its 2006 againwinking smiley

and like i suspected angry isn't as bad as the previous clip seems to show but it could still use some more work in rehearsals

www is great

tumbling dice and jjf great too

bite my head as noted above sounds pretty thin on guitars

but holy sh-t! is darryl great on this track and really seems to be enjoying himselfgrinning smiley

ssoh is nearly as good as the studio version its just missing the horns that i'm sure will be present on the tour next year

overall seems to have been a great show with more then half the show comprised of songs never performed live before with shattered as a opener and only two warhorses

Another idiot that judges music from a few seconds recorded with a mobile phone with terrible sound quality. Dear oh dear....... When will these people learn?

To be fair, no one jumps on folks who proclaim they sound great based on short, poor quality youtube clips. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and they don't all have to be glowing reviews.
With that said, I'm simply grateful that this even happened and will be at my local record shop this morning as they unlock the doors to pick up my copy of Hackney Diamonds.

Yes, here Youtube is only relevant if it's awesome.

On the other hand, a negative review and bam, Youtube? Well, no more.

Yes, Keith is wrong on Angry and Shattered, but not necessarily on all the tracks.
