I think Matt Lauer was the go to guy in the US media for a while until his demise. He seemed to be safe, knowledgeable and a Stones fan.

Fallon is also safe, annoying to watch, but a big fan.

I feel the same way, he was good on SNL but seems to laugh too hard at his own jokes and talks more than his guests do.

No assumptions on MichaelLassen's profession but my wife is a clinical hypnotherapist and fear of flying can be cured using the power of the subconscious mind. One or two sessions, typically.

I think she's just signifying. Even a wind-blown photo shoot 86 flights up seems unlikely. I could speculate about one of them shuffling further uptown to see a friend at some point this week, but that too is likely just a spot of surmise.

Still, even with the forecast mostly cloudy, the potentially-brief set they're going to play isn't the only scene they're going to be making on Thursday, I believe.

For those who live in New York City or New Jersey, someone should check out SST Studios and Rentals in Weehawken, NJ. If they are playing a club gig this week that's most likely where they are rehearsing now.

The Stones haven't played in a long time. Usually the rehearse quite a bit before going on stage. Will they really play live? I wish.

It's not a tour with a large crew, lights, staging, etc...these guys are pros, the ultimate pros, playing together is second nature ! Besides they probably rehearsed in London according to the Ronnie NME interview.

I have eyes on the loading dock & the side door—-many antsy people—-if I were a betting man I’d say something is up. Late? Are the Stones ever on time?

Not sure if your sources have confirmed Racket as the selected venue, but would love is the venue were slightly bigger to allow some lucky fans to get in. Brooklyn Steel is another AEG venues and fits 1,800

I’m sure this has been mentioned but the Stones club gig in 2013 was at the Echoplex, not the El Rey.

Passed by and asked a guy at the loading dock if the Stones were there. He said I missed them, they left for the day.
