"The Party" movie (1968) inspiration for the IORR video?

Yesterday I saw for the umpteenth time the The Party, the great Blake Edwards / Peter sellers movie. For the first time it occurred to me that the band playing in the foam scene could have been the inspiration for the IORR video.

Possible?

Louis Armstrong also did that in 1932.

Great movie. I actually made a point to include the phrase “Birdy num nums” in my fathers eulogy a few years ago. The would have made him happy.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

I came here to say "birdy num nums"

So I'll take second place and say Claudine (is back in jail) Longet is in this film.

great movie

New for me, thank you.

Yet, the Party scene seems a more direct reference! The drummer's face in the movie and Charlie Watts have the same expression while being submerged by the foam

Now this is news! Don't know how many times I've seen the movie and it never occurred to me that Ms Monet was Claudine!!

And the peeing statue could be a reference back to the gas station incident.

"The Party" is a great Blake Edwards/Peter Sellers collaboration. The first time I saw it on tv it was at a Christmas vacation somewhere in the eighties, together with my mother. I literally fell off the couch laughing. Although it was of course never as much fun at subsequent screenings, I still think it is a very funny and enjoyable film
...but honestly, I don't think the movie has anything to do with or was an inspiration for this music video.

Didn't Jagger once say that it was not the intention for the foam and bubbles to get so much and high, so that it was more of a coincidence that it got out of hand and is therefore perhaps reminiscent of that scene from the film?
