To me, One More Shot, just sounds more Stonesy than Doom & Gloom. Just listened to em back to back, and yeah, it's a great song. Loooooooooooove that riff.

September 5th exact 18 years after the release of A Bigger Bang, seems like a good date.

Hackney diamonds is an old and rarely used cockney slang for ‘broken glass’ - rough area (previously) and not affluent - hence smash glass.
So let me throw that pebble into the thought puddle!

Wasn't it the 17th?
The advertisement in Hackney Gazette appeared on 17th August, but the Wikipedia entry originally said 22nd August.
The hints to this newspaper-ad came on 21st August - [iorr.org] . The reports about the leaked artworks appeared also on that date - [iorr.org] .
For the history books, it would be interesting to know exactly when, where & how the album artworks were leaked.

Georgelicks has not posted anything about a September date in this thread.
I would guess that the idea of a September date for the/an announcement comes straight from the ad in the Hackney Gazette.
Georgelicks named two dates in Autumn which he argued were the most appropriate businesswise in view of other (already known) release dates in Autumn.
But regarding Hackney specialists in glass repair one should be careful with particular dates anyway as they are available 24 hours 7 days a week
Hackney Glass 24/7

I wonder that too! The "when" part especially. The "where and how" are easier, it simply was the artist's portfolio on that website [www.hpluscreative.com]

October almost seems too soon. I would think a single sometime in September to be followed by the album in November.
Before it got taken down on the Steve Hoffman forum, someone cut and pasted a few sentences from the album design website that said it would be announced in September and released in october.
This dude reads itvideo: [www.youtube.com]
October 21? I don't think an album will be released on a Saturday...
?
He says “October 2023”
Edit: here is the text that was orignally cut and pasted from the album designer’s website:
ROLLING STONES
CREATIVE: Paulina Almira
CLIENT: Rolling Stones
ROLE: 2D Illustration, Album Design
Rolling Stones brand new studio album Hackney Diamonds
To be announced Sept 2023 & Released Oct 2023 - The overriding theme of the album is based on relationships, with ongoing references of broken glass and harsh elements

Yes, Irix, that would seem to be the case. Uncle Miles was fast enough to find the art in the first place. (No idea if they just found it by doing a search or whether they knew something...)
The photos obviously started making the rounds amongst fans especially on websites such as this, Rocks Off and Shidoobee.
There were at least seven photos on the H+ Creative site. I managed to get a screen grab overview before they pulled the plug on them.
