Nothing we don’t already know, but The Sun newspaper has picked up the story:

Perhaps nothing we don't already know, but it will always be poignant to read about Charlie passing away two years ago,
At the same time, it's always uplifting to read again that he will indeed be featured on the album, along with Bill Wyman!

The hotly anticipated record is the first the Stones have released without their drummer Charlie Watts, who died aged 80 in August 2021.
It is also their first containing original songs since A Bigger Bang was released in 2005. Long-time bassist Bill Wyman, 86, returned
to the group on one track in tribute to Charlie. The record will also feature drumming recorded by Charlie before his death...

And the article also mentions the participation of Paul McCartney and Elton John, though not sure if Elton has been officially been confirmed yet?
Throw in a several nice then and now photos of the band, along with a pic of the new Hackney Diamonds promo ad, and it's a decent article -
especially for those who aren't up to date on all the details. And with the headline NOT FADING AWAY...it all sounds promising for the Stones' future as a band.
We sure are fortunate to still have them around, and may they keep on rolling for many years to come, but just hope they don't wait another 18+ years before they release their next album!
Looking forward to hearing it all, along with all the excitement that new Stones albums always bring. I have a hunch this could be a very special one - one for the ages. What a thrill...

I like that they are still recalling and using the title of their British breakthrough single "Not Fade Away" in the headliner. The song some stupid journalist asked from them in the press confrerence for European leg of VOODOO LOUNGE Tour why they start the show with such an unknown song. "To make it more well-known", I recall was Mick's answer.

- Doxa

Gotta love Mick. Reminds me of the Bowie-told story about seeing the Stones, and Mick, I think for the first time early on in their career.

Someone was catcalling Mick from the audience, telling him to get a hair cut and Mick replied, according to Bowie and a full cockney accent delivered expertly by Bowie, "WHA? An' look like you?!".

Just brilliant.

Yep! That was during Bowie’s appearance on Michael Parkinson’s show. The concert in question, was the Stones, third on the bill, backing Little Richard and the Everly Brothers. Brixton Odeon, 1963. The clip is on YouTube. Incidentally, Parkinson passed-away only recently. He was one of the U.K.’s finest interviewers. In fact, there’s a brief clip of him interviewing Mick, featured in the Shine A Light film. It must date from 1964.

I am already looking forward to The Hackney Diamonds Tour 2024

Probably shortened to 'Diamonds Tour' (like in 2002: 'Forty Licks' -> 'Licks Tour').

Ok, then 'Hackney Diamonds Tour'. Or a completely new name. 'Hackney' alone would sound a bit like 'Hacker'.

It's also reminiscent of Hockney, as in English artist David Hockney.
Come to think of it, it might have been interesting to have Hockney design the Hackney cover.

It's only Hackney Diamonds but I like it! My gut feeling is it's coming out in September, if not then October. Regardless The Rolling Stones are coming soon! We are all so privileged to have this band in our lifetime.

On 'Hackney Marshes' - but it's said to be muddy there. See here: [iorr.org] , [iorr.org] .

The 'muddy' issue could be solved with the aluminum panels covering the lawn like in Hamburg Stadtpark 2017 - [iorr.org] .

Loads more creative concepts here:

It was taken down already.

Somebody's getting fired!

I really hope it's not the case. Even if that artwork was not intended to be published, I'm sure it helped in promoting the new album.

Yeah, that was a tongue-in-cheek comment, really...pun intended!

grinning smiley

On any case, it looks like the administrators on Steve Hoffman had a complaint about the use of the artwork. Since then, some posts were deleted.

I got my very first Rolling Stones Album in August 1971 - "STicky Fingers". Soon after I got all their releases ahead of that album, including singles and EPs.

Then there was the wait for their next album, my first "new" release - EXILE. It was building up during the spring of 1972. Then we got NME with the EXILE Flexi. I feel the same now, as I felt during the spring of 1972. A long wait, but now it is happening.

Please keep the teasers coming!

Maybe the album announcement could be in the Hackney Empire theatre - invited journalists, livestream for all others, plus 3 live tracks, e.g.: first Single, Shattered and Satisfaction. Just an idea.
