I just can not believe it. So sad.

I met superfan Jan Veeken many times on tour. He was always a big smile, making excellent photos, as you may see on the IORR show reports pages.

Jan followed the entire European Tour last year. Often we stayed at the same hotels, and he was early into the pit, a great fan. I am so sad to hear about his passing.

RIP Jan Veeken.

Sad news indeed. Never spoken to him I think, but I seem to remember him from a lot of concerts from The Stones from at least 1998 till 2017.

Rest In Peace

My wife and I are feeling very sad. We knew it was coming, but not that fast.
I will always remember when Jan visited us with another Stones fan/friend to enjoy a tasty coffee and some Japanese snacks and lots of talks about the Stones.

RIP Jan, your spirit will be with us.

Never met the fellow, but I recognized him way ahead of me in line for a train from London to Amsterdam (after the 2nd Hyde park show). I'm glad he got to be there for the 60th. Rest in peace.

I've just heard about this on Facebook. I never met Jan but I knew him on sight and knew his name. Always an easy pick out in a crowd with his towering height! I'm absolutely stunned. I stayed in the same hotel as Jan in Lyon last year and saw him on the catwalk rail in the pit at the show.

RIP to his family and friends - he sounds like a good guy.
