A great Cricket man Mick, is a passionate supporter of all Cricket

His quips as featured in "Being Mick" are folklore among the Fan's of the Game "Cricket is sometimes like watching Porn, you know how it's going to end"

I've been watching the cricket on Sky where they have been showing pix of Mick in the posh seats. The commentator (Michael Atherton) mentioned that he and another Sky Sports pundit (Mark Butcher) shared a glass of wine with MJ last evening. However other than complimenting Jagger on his knowledge of cricket, and his birthday, Atherton made no mention about any activity by the band. That proves or disproves nothing of course. However my sense is that if there had been any conversation about a tour, Atherton would have mentioned it. He seemed very keen to talk up his meeting with MJ....

I have the same feed here from Sky UK. Shame Beefy isn't on the Commentary team Mick loves him.

I was going to ask if this was in Mick’s new private box he got for his birthday, but then I saw Piers Morgan and I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

I hope Mick is smiling out of politeness, and not because he is pleased to see the appalling Piers Morgan?? I'd like to think Mick does not actually know who Piers Morgan is. Come to think of it I'd like to NOT know who Piers Morgan is...

Mick happily rubbing shoulders with Piers Morgan...a worrisome sign of the times...

Piers Morgan is not really a bad guy. Nowhere near Fox news badness. And remember; Sir Michael is born and bred Tory. He may not be hip as Jagger but that is another story.
Personally I seldom agree with his agenda but I don't think he is a bad journalist. Or celebrity, or whatever...

That's ironic as he's currently employed by Fox news.

Is he? I didn't know that. There you go... (but I don't count him as a Fox News hooligan though). Wasn't he on the BBC morning show for a long while?
I recently saw him interviewing Sir Richard Dawkins - which he did quite good (he is nowhere near as sharp as Sir Richard though...)

Well, I for one actually agree with Morgan on his whole “anti-woke” campaign. I saw an interview he had with 3 women, one of whom now identified as a man. Morgan in his own way said “well now I identify as a black lesbian “. The woman in question said that’s plainly silly, you’re not black. Morgan asked to see “her” penis.

Why do some here care so much? Mick’s been photographed with Piers Morgan? ‘Oh my God!’ ‘The world is ending!!’ They're both fans of cricket and happened to be in the same room. There’s hardly any reason for their to be animosity between them, is there?

If Mick did let anything slip about the Stones' plans it could most likely have been to Mark Butcher.

Asside from being an ex test cricketer and now a pundit...Mark Butcher is a keen blues musician and the conversation may have been a bit more music oriented.

Don't know if it is Mark Butcher, but here's the 90-sec. dialogue with Jonathan Agnew (?) where the 2024 tour quote can be heard. Maybe someone can confirm the names of the two.
