I guess this is what happens when a band doesn't release new music - fans have to fantasize about which of their favorite oldies from decades ago would have made a great album.
But the looooong wait just might be over soon, and then we can dissect every single grain of what they have spent so much time coming up with - warts and all.
I have a feeling it might be worth the wait, but won't judge until it gets released. Fingers crossed.

Is this our own «Rolling Stones favourite 80s album» or our own «Rolling Stones Greatest Hits Album»?
If the former is the case, my list would be very different.

I'd say "our own greatest hits".
I did a check, and - correct me if I am wrong, in the 80 the only "hits" - i.e. a no 1 somewhere or at least a decent chart position in the US or UK - were
Emotional Rescue/Down in the Hole (1 Canada - 3 US 9 UK)
Start Me Up/ Ain’t no use in crying (1 Australia US 2 UK 7)
Undercover Of The Night/ All the way down ( - US 9 UK 11)
Harlem Shuffle / Had it with you (1 New Zealand US 2 UK 13)
Mixed Emotions / Fancy Man Blues (1 Canada / US - UK 36)
