OT: Can I trust this guy?

Look who the cat dragged in!

Yes. While I am following my favorite band on tour this guy is taking care of my local home team. as a coach. Frisk Asker Tigers that is. He is not just any guy. In fact he has got 5 Stanley Cup's so may be I am safe. At least he is wearing the team jersey with the old-boys team with pride, and while I enjoyed the Houston show he secured another victory for our team!

PS. If you are at all interested in hockey then you know this guy for sure!

Please, do not post pictures on this board that don't have any genuine relevance to the Rolling Stones.
It's just wasting space and mind time.
I'm honestly not really fond of this kind of ego flashing.
Once again - Think before you post.
Best wishes.

I think I speak for a majority when rathering a thousand of these type
threads than just one ear- och hair inplant thread. Furthermore I think
Björnulf posts what he want... But Rank, you´re maybe ironic & I+´m not in a ironic modd - but otherwise, for heavens sake, please attack that Maverick monkey before you go for a´n innocent hockeyposting.

And, now, Mr. Vik: Who´s the fatso on skates? I was very into hockey 1968-1980,
but I dont get any jackpots.

I still remember the draw between Sweden and Norway in Norway's first World Championship (A-group) in the early 90s. smiling smiley

I don't think I ever watched one full period in hockey ever. Weird sine it's quite a big sport.

No wonder when you´re a Dane.
But I live close to an Arena, I´m born and raised
within a team´s core area; and - most impostant - my own
old man is the Chairman of a goddam Premier League hockey team
... And I still don´t go.
I like bandy more.

Not the Holy Nazaré-man, but with the same initials: Jonas Claesson.
From last World Championships in Archangelsk, Russia. The very defintion for a coool sport is thus bandy, which almost always is played outside, often in a temperature of -20 degrees Celcius. It sure is no sissy game watching a game for some 2-2½ hours
(effective play time 45*2 min).

Coool to watch bandy, BB?
Don't forget to bring your briefcase.

Yup, cool. Chilly. Mostly. We all know the bandy-coffee.
Btw Thommie, you dont happen to live in a bandy area?

Yeah. Ice Hockey first became big here a few years ago. About 1998 or something. Maybe even later.

And bandy never will. Cause it demands natural ice outdoors at least three months.

I do, BB. Two teams in the highest Swedish division. But, please, don't ask me which place in the table. Pretty low.

Pronounced with an open A like in "Kim L-a-rsen",
maybe slighter less open. See the Maestro above
from Hammarby Bandy ("Bajen") in Stockholm, with the
bended stick. Ball is bright red. No violence.

Soon we only miss here the strange Finnish sport boboll...
Anyone? Well, to Richard´s definition here above my dad is a
good canuck, but not me. But my old man once introduced bandy
in the US (Minnesota particularly).
Bandy is played in Norway, Finland, Sweden, Holland, Hungary & USA.
Which countries play cricket? Do the spectators sleep at arenas?

Baboon, you asked if people sleep over at the Cricket arenas? Hardly, it takes that long you can have a good kip during the match..... most of the countries who play cricket were from the old Empire ie: India, Australia...... cause we made em do it!

bv,

I grew up in Edmonton watching Esa win four of his cups (the other's with NY), he was the genuine article, never played any way but all the way, and no you can't trust him if you're going into the corner after the puck and he's behind you. His nickname in Edmonton was "the pest" because of his ability to drive the other team's best players to complete distraction.

How lucky was Tikkanen? Entering the NHL and playing with the Oilers at their peak! Definitely the biggest pest in the NHL. Funniest thing about Esa was watching him get interviewed. With his broken english, you couldn't tell what he was saying!

Jari Kurri couldn't understand what he was saying, nobody could.

I can't imagine being an opposing player listening to him yap at you through out an entire game or playoff series.
