That is new to me also. I thought that he joined them on SFTD somewhere on that tour; when he's wearing a beret. But had not heard this. How can you tell it's Clapton?

Yep! That’s one of my White Whale recordings I hope to hear someday. As you know, the stones jammed Key to the Highway during the Dallas rehearsals. Sounds like Jagger on rhythm and Richards on lead. It’s a cool little grungy version.

Key to the Higway
I forget about that one. I don't think it was ever officially released, correct?

Oh my God how good did the Stones sound in 76' on SFM & JJF, Clapton absolutely should have joined the Stones.

Great article. Clapton brought back the Stones for an encore. They didn’t do that a lot those days. We might think it’s true as the writer of the newspaper probably was at the concert….

What was the encore? According to Zentgraf Key To The Highway was played in the middle of the set and JJF and SFM were the closing numbers on the whole tour.

The Stones sounded great, but the singing of Mick is not that great to me. He’s just belting out the lyrics most of the times. Not on all the songs tough.

I was there too! I well remember Clapton coming on and my recollection is Key To The Highway as a (final) encore ...but it's a while back of course
