Can't you picture Keith, Darryl and C.C. bopping their heads in unison while swaying side to side at the edge of the stag?

It's complete rubbish.

Do you honestly believe that would happen?

Come on.

It wont be until the next leg. CC is in jail. Right now.

even though i do admit, ronnie isnt the best guitarist, c'mon CC Deville?

That would be like replacing Charlie with Tommy Lee.

i thought mick would have more taste than that.

its true that ronnie's slate isnt entirely clean, and that he was in rehab for most of the album recording, he was an alcoholic for most of the B2B tour, but keith hasnt been entirely clean for most of is life either.

I think it comes down to the fact that Keith has more willpower, which i think ronnie may not have as much, and that the only reason keith wasnt kicked out in the '70's, is the fact that him and mick were a pair, and still are. he wrote songs, did heroin, but never missed a gig, and was still able to play. Ronnie has let his alcoholism get in the way of his playing. in a way, im surprised that he wasnt kicked out in '81.
Im a former coke user, and i know that addiction is tough. and it would be too bad if
his problems got in the way of his playing.

oh shit im rambling...

You have to consider the source of this silly rumour.

Hey Tommy's an AWESOME drummer, but he's more of a "power groove" guy than a jazzman.

If Charlie needs a replacement, I say go with Chad Smith of the Chili Peppers! Chad can bang about as hard as Jon Bonham, but he can change tempo on a dime... witness all the intricacies of the RHCP songbook... of course this is just a fantasy because the Peppers aren't goin' anywhere.

Max Weinberg would be another interesting replacement, but it's unlikely he's available as Springsteen probably has at least one more E-STreet tour in the future (let's hope!).

Markdog, you've found the early press release picture for the new Rolling Stones with C.C. Deville... you can see what a great fit he is !

With C.C. the stones are getting a "proven rocker" to take over at lead guitar!

Who is CC Deville? Best wishes, RobertJohnson.

Never heard of him.

Seriously?

Last time I saw Deville was in a MTV show (early 90s I think), and he was banging away on his guitar without a cable in the amp. Even the singer shook his head smiling smiley

Peter Frampton..........

Long time friend of the Stones. Peter grew up with Bill Wynman taking him to gigs.

Not only does the band need a lead guitar player but the current lineup needs a shake up plain and simple.

CC has the right haircut and attitude. Come on, an American metal player to replace a Stone? Cool rumor, though!

CC Deville? Come on, Deville replacing Wood has as much chance in the world as hogs producing beef! Dare I ask for what is Deville serving time prison?

I've always wondered about a Richards-Clapton version of the Rolling Stones!

If Ronnie were no longer in the band, they boys would replace him with a session player, like Blondie Chaplin...though he'd never be an official member.

If they would ever "replace" Wood because he can't play for any reason than i would think they would do it with Blondie. It seems like the obvious choice to me. He is already playing with them and he is up there for the third tour and i don't think they would make such a big change anymore.

Cheers,
Wuudy

CC is jailed for 80 days on drunk driving charges.
So Ronnies spot is filled by Yngwie Malsteen.

Trust....
