and bonus question #3 -is it "Suzanne"?

I know number 8:

Voices of Freedom: Keith plays with Dylan and Ronnie at Live Aid 1985

Also, Keith plays with Dylan on "Shake Rattle and Roll" on a 1980s live date.

Charles Baudelaire
1821-1867

bonus question 2,

Roxy Music "Siren". That one's easy! The others are freaking hard!!! My favourite Roxy Music album by far.

Charles Baudelaire
1821-1867

Is the answer to number 9, Patti Smith? Just an educated guess. Besides Dylan, Patti Smith seems to be one of the very few American recording artists who draws significant influence from the French Modernist and Symbolist poets of the mid to late 19th century.

Charles Baudelaire
1821-1867

No idea, but it seems a pretentious thing to do. I'm thinking someone like Sting or David Byrne. 9. This is hard, I know: Who changed "Bo Diddley"
to "Rimbaud" in concert?

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Other answers are
6 - maybe "memo from Turner" is similar to "Family" as that there are two versions. Two "offocial" versions. This is a weird Q.
7 - Vol 2 - must be Travelling Wilburys

(I have just waken up)

We have a lot of good answers here!
I was just about to call CindyC the winner, but now I see that she has a bit too few points.
If CindyC, or somebody else, think that they know more, please list all answers, not just one correction.
But Im very impressed, many right answers, but SOME are wrong.
Youre almost there though!

that he can't play his guitar like Fiji Jim or write ..." whatever it is

Re: Saturday Night Stones Quiz

Here are the answers:

STONES-QUIZ:
1. Crawling King Snake (great album, great song)
2. The 2nd Stones bootleg ever (not 1st) was "Live From Detroit 1969"
3. Bobby Keys and Keith were both born on December 18th 1943.
4. Black And Blue videos were done in Ostseehalle, Kiel, May 1st 1976.
5. Mick went on a bike-holiday there in the late 90s (I remember from the papers)
6. In "Family", Mick mentions a "Fiji Jim", which they later wrote a song about. Its an unreleased outtake from the late 70s.
7. On the MTV Awards on September 8th 1994, Stones opened with "Love Is Strong", before rocking over to "Start Me Up". Very good performance. Mick came down the stairs on the first track.
8. Live Aid 1985 and Seville Guitar Festival in 91 (or was it 92) is correct.
9. In Newcastle on March 4th 1971, they played "Sympathy For The Devil" as an encore. It was a hot show, and after walking off stage, the audience yelled for more. The Stones discussed a moment what to do, and then they did SFTD.
10. At the warm-up gig for the Steel Wheels tour, at Toads Place in August 1989, they did the guitar intro - chords for JJF. They didnt start it they way they usually does, but did it like the studio version.
11. Actually I can think of 2 tracks without Charlie on drums. "You Cant Always Get What You Want" and "Its Only Rock`n Roll". Perhaps theres more...
12. The phrase comes from Vienna, Sept. 1st 1973. It makes me wonder; what happened in Vienna 1970?

BONUS QUIZ:
1. Alice Cooper and Willie Nelson play golf. Willie Nelson was the one who have been here in the north of Norway. (Too bad he didnt visit the golf-tracks)
2. Siren by Roxy Music contains Jerry Hall on the cover.
3. "So Long Marianne" by Cohen. Marianne is still alive...
4. I see Rockman knew this. "Great White Wonder" with Bob Dylan was the 1st bootleg in the world.
5. TeleK knew this! "License To Kill" contains the phrase "....leave no stone unturned."
6. "Dum Dum Boys" (from the album "Idiot") is about the Rolling Stones. He was very impressed by them when he was young, but it changed through the years. Great album!
7. Chelsea Drugstore knew it! Travelling Wilburys has released to records. "Volume 1" and "Volume 3". But no "Volume 2"! (Travelling Wilburys is Tom Petty, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison)
8. The Faces and Rod Stewart play the football onstage!
9. Bob Dylan is the answer. In the song "From A Buick 6", the lyrics goes like this: "She dont make me nervous, she dont talk too much. She walks like Bo Diddley....." He dont play this often live, but when he did (in 1965) he changed the name to Rimbaud. Who on earth knows how Rimbaud walked?

Anyway, thanks for your answers!
I would feel silly if nobody cared!
There isnt ONE winner, but TeleK, Rockman, Charles, CindyC and with ssssoul, are a few percentage each of a winner:-)
Thanks!
So long!
