A late September start, or early October could fit in with a rehearsal before a South American tour in November/December.

My Prediction for the 2023 North America Tour:

North America
May - July 2023

SoFi Stadium,Los Angeles,CA,USA
BC Place,Vancouver,BC,CAD
Soldier Field,Chicago,IL,USA
Parc Jean-Drapeau,Montreal,QC,CAD
Rogers Centre,Toronto,ON.CAD
FirstEnergy Stadium,Cleveland,OH,USA
Gillette Stadium,Foxborough,MA,USA
FedEx Field,Landover,MD,USA
Lincoln Financial Field,Philadelphia,PA,USA
Cardinal Stadium,Louisville,KY,USA
Highmark Stadium,Buffalo,NY,USA
MetLife Stadium,East Rutherford,NJ,USA (Possibly x2)

Nothing solid here, just a guess, this is how I would book it.

I imagine something like this:

Los Angeles
San Francisco/San Diego
Seattle
Vancouver
Louisville/Atlanta
Houston/Dallas
Cleveland
Mexico City
Boston
Miami
NYC
Buffalo/Toronto

But we'll see thumbs up

They played Atlanta last year, so I'm thinking a Florida show or two.

I’m still think they pick up the “postponed” Cleveland and Louisville shows smiling smiley

And I’m going with Birmingham over Atlanta, it’s been going strong with growth and concerts lately (or, even better, the wish list of ending it at the new Orion amphitheater in Huntsville)

Certainly possible.

Seems the theme is major markets one year, secondary markets when they return (Midwest).

With the rumored Latin America shows, I can’t see them doing much more than maybe 12 shows and so I do think that some markets may miss out that might otherwise get shows.

I think the tours going forward will have more than the 14 shows we have had recently.

My guess is they will make it a tour with 20 to 30 shows.

Can’t see two shows in Ca, for West how bout

Denver
LA
Vancouver

They never did less than two shows in California

Well, on Zip Code, the only California show was San Diego.

plexi

San Diego, Los Angeles (Fonda) and the private gig at the Belly Up in Solana Beach!

Peasants were excluded from the Fonda and Belly Up shows, so San Diego Petco Park was the only Zip Code show that most us could attend.

Tickets for Fonda went on sale online. I tried to get tickets back then. But anyway, they did 3 gigs in California in the Zip Code Tour.

I tried to get a ticket for the Fonda shows, too. I was in Germany at that time and thus could go to that show. But I just wanted to find out if it was possible to get a ticket. It was! (at least I managed to get one in my shopping cart

The Fonda was mostly invite only but I tried to get a ticket online too, and I went to the theatre to see if anyone had an extra they would sell. I also called the Belly Up on the day of that show and asked if they were hiring. I said I could start that very night and I would take the worst task as long as I could be in the venue.
California got three shows but only one of them was for the masses.

Back to the topic:
Maybe San Diego will get a show this time since Qualcomm got canceled.

NOLA JazzFest announced -

Still possible to announce a seperate day for the Stones?

I haven't heard one peep about anything. Jazz Fest people are probably over it. Too many old acts cancelling recently. I put it at 99% not happening, which means it never will.

I took a look at the jazz fest lineup and I’m always struck by interesting named bands. The one that stuck out to me here was Honey Island Swamp Band. I gave them a listen and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I really dig them! Am going to listen to more of their stuff but I might have a nice newer band to follow!! Doesn’t happen too often.

Those don't count. Those were special, small gigs for specific purposes or limited, specific audiences. Small stuff. I mean regular gigs.

There are so many dreams, wish lists and predictions here. Many forget the main purpose of tour and shows to come during the next 12-18 months:

A NEW STUDIO ALBUM IS DUE OUT THIS YEAR

It is their first new album since 2005. May be it is their last one. Who knows? They sure want to do it in a perfect way.

If it was all about money, they would have been doing all shows in USA, cities like LA, NY, LV, Chicago. If it was all about money, why did they go to places in the past, like Wichita, Missoula, Regina, Istanbul, Australia, NZ, Singapore, Stockholm, places with travel cost and less income than their $10 million plus income level at key US venues. Why would they play at 50% to 70% income capacity, when there is more money to grab other places?

They don't do 100+ shows per year anymore. They don't do 50 shows per year. They do one show every four days at best, and usually a max of 14 shows or so per tour/year, before they do a break. May be they will stretch their limits a bit this year and next year, but they are not 20 anymore, not even 40 or 60. Many at age 80 are not touring at all, they are resting up at home.

May be they want us to know the new album before they go on tour. May be they want to travel the world. Few bands of their size have had the challenge of being so popular, with an income of $10 million or so per show, releasing a new album roughly 60 years into their career.

This year is unique. The album will be unique. The tour will be unique. I am sure.

So true, BV, but let us not forget a new album from 2016 that has sold almost 3 million copies worldwide... If they top that now that would be a helluva achievement.

if the Stones go on for three more years and if they follow the same pattern as in recent years (one tour per year each with 14-15 shows) there are less than 50 shows 'left'. I'd be really surprised if the don't do most of these shows where their major markets are.

but BV knows best, of course
