There are some on this board who know me, and my guesses are based on tidbits I hear.

I think the tours going forward will have more than the 14 shows we have had recently.

My guess is they will make it a tour with 20 to 30 shows.

what would you base this guess on?

Based on what ever he made up. Which means based on nothing

There are so many dreams, wish lists and predictions here. Many forget the main purpose of tour and shows to come during the next 12-18 months:

A NEW STUDIO ALBUM IS DUE OUT THIS YEAR

It is their first new album since 2005. May be it is their last one. Who knows? They sure want to do it in a perfect way.

If it was all about money, they would have been doing all shows in USA, cities like LA, NY, LV, Chicago. If it was all about money, why did they go to places in the past, like Wichita, Missoula, Regina, Istanbul, Australia, NZ, Singapore, Stockholm, places with travel cost and less income than their $10 million plus income level at key US venues. Why would they play at 50% to 70% income capacity, when there is more money to grab other places?

They don't do 100+ shows per year anymore. They don't do 50 shows per year. They do one show every four days at best, and usually a max of 14 shows or so per tour/year, before they do a break. May be they will stretch their limits a bit this year and next year, but they are not 20 anymore, not even 40 or 60. Many at age 80 are not touring at all, they are resting up at home.

May be they want us to know the new album before they go on tour. May be they want to travel the world. Few bands of their size have had the challenge of being so popular, with an income of $10 million or so per show, releasing a new album roughly 60 years into their career.

This year is unique. The album will be unique. The tour will be unique. I am sure.

Very well put BV

We’ll said BV, it will be a unique year to be a Stones fan. Can’t wait for the new album and tour. Just dread the nonstop reminders of their age from the media. They’re doing what they love and keeps them young, as well as us.

On the 7th day God created The Rolling Stones

Has anyone heard if the next tour will be Stadium only? It’s probably safe to assume, but I really wish they would play some smaller venues.

they ended the last two tours in smaller venues so it seem possible they'll do the same for this tour

Yeah, but I mean actually schedule some smaller venues for the tour and not just a one off. I know, it’s probbably just a dream at this point!

smaller gigs would certainly mean enormously high prices. Look what they charged for the Casino gig in 2021. That's just too much for me. And Lucky Dips are very limited for these small gigs too so for many of us smaller venues would result in less number of gigs per tour.

hockenheim95 is dead on. Just look at what Bruce Springsteen is charging for US arena shows and then imagine the Stones' prices.

Bruce's guarantee is (reportedly) "only" 4 mil a night - does Mick even lift a finger for that kind of chump change?

Tiktok is really an entertaining app/site. Mildly ridiculous for sure but pretty joyful place due to the dancing, singing slant to much of the content..this is the best short description I found as an fyi...

"TikTok is a social media platform for creating, sharing and discovering short videos. The app is used by young people as an outlet to express themselves through singing, dancing, comedy, and lip-syncing, and allows users to create videos and share them across a community."

A little bit more smiling smiley here about the competitions on tiktok and how they work..posts by the official account and the jagger account are dancing, lipsyncing and costume competitions [www.webwise.ie]

Hope this is useful to some..

I would love to think the motivation for their tour is not just money BUT they've stopped playing MSG and all arenas in favor of stadium shows....which I happen to hate! Even if they only fill a stadium 70-80% capacity or less, they make a TON more money than a night in an arena that holds maybe 22,000. Unless you happen to have a seat way up front in a stadium, you feel LOST, even with the big screens...at least I do. As far as set lists go, I don't think there's any excuse that holds water as to WHY they don't play at least 4 or 5 " gems " or deep cuts each show, varying them from city to city. Songs like " Connection" are simple to play, most of the songs that I'd love to hear are not difficult songs..." I Got The Blues", " Love In Vain"...easy songs..." Almost Hear You Sigh", " Lovin Cup", " Shine A Light"...not hard to play...so WHY repeat the same songs every single night? I still want to see a couple of shows on this next tour but I would love a bit more set list excitement with a few arenas tossed in for good measure!

Many governments here in the US will not allow use of the application.

I agree with every word you have written about freshening things up somewhat. But I'm afraid it won't happen. Even if The Stones do release a new album, chances are only one or two tracks from it will get played. And then, only for the early gigs on the tour. The reality is that the majority of those who attend Stones concerts only want to hear the warhorses. Why? Because these are the tracks programmed on Classic Rock stations, or that can be found on the Hot Rocks album, which is the only album a huge number of Stones fans actually know.

Those of us who want some kind of genuine variety in performance are very much in the minority. And are considered by many to be traitors or deserters who dishonour the band in some way. Even disrespect them.

Given the repetitive nature of the setlists I no longer intend to attend future concerts. At my age, and in my current state of health, I see no point in making the supreme physical effort, not to mention the astronomical financial burden, to hear a set list of 18-20 songs, almost all of which I will have heard several times in concert down the years.

Enough is enough.

A sufficient number of well reputed agencies from a wide range of nation states have confirmed this.

Do I absolutely know this - of course I do not. You need technical skills and facilities far above those available to most people to be able to determine this first hand.

My guess is that it's when you're not using TokTic is that it's busy collecting as much of your data as it can.

Well, I remember going to many shows for A Bigger Bang tour, and they DID play a lot of the new songs from that album.

Rough Justice, Oh No Not You Again, Streets of Love, Back of My Hand, Infamy, This Place is Empty and Rain Fall Down.

So if we are waiting for the new album before the tour, I think we will get a lot of the new songs.

Also Won't take long.

Still most of the time they played 2 of the new songs, so it is wise to expect not too much. Which is good in my opinion. 99% of the people want to hear Satisfaction and not Sweet Neocon.

Before ABB Tour Keith said he was "looking forward to what happens to the songs as we get them on the road, take the diapers off" or something to that effect. Now if you compare the material with the live performances of OOC or SOM you have to admit that the ABB songs didn't gain anything by being played live. Keith couldn't know that before but the way the songs gradually fizzled out of the setlists tells me they noticed it too. Obviously I hope they got some real bangers up their sleeve but how it will work live, even they can't say for sure.

I wouldn't mind if 'Rough Justice' was to return to the setlist. But beside that you are right.

Which is weird to me, because I enjoyed the ABB songs live. Although to your point, I do not believe they were embraced the same way that OOC and SOM were, with all of the fan interaction. And that's a shame.
