Yes, I get that too. That is why I asked in the title of thread what you guys thought of it. It's a long interview, in several tube clips, and he definitely was there, in the inner circle. More than any of us can probably say. yet, I get the feeling that he is overplaying his hand.
Most of what we know about the song IORR is from Wood, Keith, Jagger. You simply can not get any deeper inside knowledge than that. But Keith loves a good story.
This whole thing he says about the drums, or the title not being something you'd say. ??? In this age of youtube, and endless re-issues, so many people jump on it, and try to create an issue, where there is no issue.
Well, an extra verse and a different mix and a longer outro.

Oh no, they absolutely meant to have a phone ringing and buttons popping in the original mix! Pouring rain, the sound of a blank TV, the sound of lightning (thunder), the sound of a human zoo - all in the original mix that was edited for the LP version!!!!

Treacle, like Tapani Tapaneinen, fails to mention their use of sensory deprivation isolation tanks and psychoactive drugs to travel back in time and rewrite history. It's more common than you think.
Its a different mix, more piano playing, the organ is missing, some guitars here and there are different, and Jagger's overdubs are different and some missing.

Agree 100%. The man was a second engineer. What else has he done does anyone know? For comparison sake?

In the new BBC documentary they show the original Wick tapes of IORR, dated March 1973. It could be they all went back to London after the Winter tour, and spent the month recording and partying in Wood's house. And (in my opinion a bit unlikely), but it could be that they played around with the idea of IORR already in Jamaica in late 1972 -and then the Jagger/Richards credit is not so strange anymore as we always used to think.
