What is amazing is that years later, I'm not sure anyone remembers "Mull of Kyntire" . The Stones would never record a song in 3/4 time with bagpipes, and thank god for that! Of course, they did record "Streets of Love", so . .. . .
For christ sake.... it aint 1964 you know. This stuff is sooooooo boring to read! No Macca aint over rated and really, who gives a flying fig? Grow up!!!
This subject is so tedious and utterly stupid, so in order to make it a helluva lot more interesting I'll post a few pics of Meg White. Here we go. Enjoy!!!

ferrante9, you are definetly on the wrong board. And pls stop writing in capital letters. It will not give your postings more significance.
I respect the Beatles work, but for me Paul alone is a fabric softener. Calling his tours "tour of the year..." (I still don't know if this is true and on which sources you rely) is obviously nonsense. How can anyone overpraise his tours like that? I mean it's just one boring bass-player (and some supernumeraries) standing in front of his mic all the time and waving to the audience. Any other artist should be able to deliver this minimum of performance. As far as his songs are concerned, only the old Beatles tunes make the show and not his solo crap. I find it pretty unimaginative to call this show format "best". This man is so incredibly boring on stage. I tried to watch some of his latter concerts, but had to skip as I realized this man is fixed with superglue in front of his mic. Also I think he looks so fragile. Mick and Keith in comparision have a magic appearance on stage.
Band on the Run, Jet, Junior's Farm, Live & Let Die, My Love, LTWTMS.......it goes on and on. Some would say the same of the Stones since 1972....I am not one of those.
I always liked Stones much more than the Beatles and I would never pay too much attention to Paul. But looking at his touring set lists for his fans, man he is way ahead of Stones.
Paul is playing tonight in Glendale, Arizona. I have never seen him in concert but wouldn't mind at all if the ticket was cheap. Like most of the people on this board, I think a large majority of his work leaves a lot to be desired. He did do some great things like the lp "Band on the run" and I wouldn't mind hearing him play some songs from the "Rubber Soul" album. I probably won't go unless I can score a super cheapie ticket which seems unlikely. The Stones come here in a week and I would much rather see them ad nauseum than to pay the same amount and see the only Beatle who has the potential of being reincarnated as a Kotex tampon (with strings attached).
