Do these sketches or designs really exist? I’ve read several times that Charlie used to draw all the hotel rooms he stayed in . I would be interested in buying a book like that. What do you think ?

A fine art coffee table type book would be cool.

I believe that also in "According to the Rolling Stones" one or two were printed but I don't have the book at hand so I can't check.

Like that charlie drew in his spare time... mostly kept it to himself... didn't try to use his fame to pass it off average artistic talent as fine art
thumbs up

I wonder who the model is in that ”mirror” sketch!?!?

As an artist he’s a great drummer

I snuck into a party by climbing tall fences and crawling underneath trailers to meet the Stones after a show in San Francisco in 2002 at Pac Bell Park. The stones were throwing a party for the crew as it was the last open arena show of the tour and they were downsizing and in an effort to say thank you they had to get together. I have been told they never did it before and never did it after but nevertheless I was able to get in and meet everybody but Keith, as he did not show. After talking to Ronnie and even Mick for a while Charlie showed up. Alongside with his body guard he was dressed very distinctly in a full-length camel hair coat. I walked up to him and introduce myself and shook his hand and asked him about his sketches. I asked if he would ever publish them or release them for viewing his one-word answer was, no. I then asked him if he knows where all the his books are at considering his different homes and their possible various locations of all his books he looked at me in a serious eye motion and simply said, I know where they're all at. That was the end of my conversation with Charlie about his sketches.

I clearly remember having repeatedly read that Charlie had the habit of sketching every single hotel room bed he ever slept in. And I remember having seen such sketches. However, I can't find any such sketch on the internet as of now.

But I found this on the internet:-

Charlie Watts drew a sketch of every bed he ever slept in.

The Rolling Stones drummer, 80, started the drawings in 1968 while on tour and did it right up until his death, on Tuesday (24 August).

Watts told Rolling Stone: “I make a sketch of every bedroom I sleep in. I’ve sketched every bed I’ve slept in on tour since about 1968.”

Oh, there's no need to worry, mate, it was fun. revisiting all these pages.

There's lots of books more I could check, like 2.5 meters, but that would really take a lot of time, hehehe ...

If he indeed sketched every hotel room, that would be a multi-volume set for sure. However, given how private a person he was, I highly doubt these ever see the light of day.
