this thread is full of snowflakes.

Quoted for truth.

Ronnie was a clown onstage. The only other bandmember Mick could really interact with. And back in those days there weren't any inflatable dogs or Honky Tonk Women on stage. Or a Lisa Fisher to flirt with.

Harassing... >grinning smiley<

Only an inflatable cock... grinning smiley

This is a silly thread. I always have enjoyed the stage antics and considered them to be male bonding signs of affection

i really think thats kinda what this thread was originaly intended to be about

stage antics

but some people seem to think others are accusing mick of being a bully and/or creating some kind of "toxic" workplace and abusing/harassing poor little ronnie without his consent

i don't think this is what is going on here

it's just stage antics i'm sure ronnie's in on the joke

Correct. Some people are taking this way too seriously.

it might help if the title was changed to

mick and ronnie's stage antics

or somethong like that

then this could turn into a fun thread about that instead of a mess of people who are rightfully confused

They shouldn't be confused. I was pretty clear in my first post.

Harassing is an appropriate word, I think. Harassing (unwanted, makes target uncomfortable) doesn't always mean hateful intent. Did Ronnie like it? Not sure, but hard to imagine he welcomed all of it. However, are Mick's antics heinous and unforgivable? Has irreparable damage been done? I don't think so. Again, kind of like little brother treatment.

No big deal. It was never intended to be a heavy topic.

Sorry, it didn’t start off silly but I had to chime in when I read some of the comments. I don’t think harassing is an appropriate word though. Ronnie seems to like it.

Is "clowning" better? I'm cool with that. Subject title changed!

I would agree with that. Thanks, Nashville Blues.

I don't think anyone's confused here or in comments in the linked topic. We might have different meanings in mind for "harassing,", "teasing," and so forth. And those of us who've seen it, have alternative views on Ronnie's take over time. In the service of show biz, definitely, in any case.

"Mick razzing Ronnie on stage?"

tease (someone) playfully.
"his co-workers razz him about it"

i agree your original post was perfectly clear

but i think some maybe just reading the title and not your post and then coming to certain conclusions

but i like the change to clowning but your use of harassing should have worked too

Man its not harassing, it's just goofing around on stage, it's just playing a role, acting out characters. And Mick's intentions were to stir it up, to act controversial, and this is very much influenced by the punk movement of the late 1970's.
