OT: Triple vinyl albums...remember them?

I have some of these packed away. I played Sandinista by The Clash a lot. The one that stands the test of time, for me, is the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Will The Circle Be Unbroken". Classic country and Americana (to use a term) music that will never age. My dad, who thought I was crazy to have hundreds of rock and pop albums, loved this one. He'd put it on the hi-fi and sing along. It was his roots music.

The Clash released a single LP. Then a double. Then a triple. Less than 365 days between London Calling (double) and Sandinista (triple). Pretty prolific.

And an EP! Wasn't Black Market Clash in the mix of that timeframe? If not, it was pretty close.

Yes, the only one I had is Yessongs by .... Yes.

But yup, Sandinista stands out -

by the best creative and raw genuine rock band from 77 - '82.

Untouchably good live in that period too.

year after year it was always piled HIGH in the bargain bins ....

Still got my Glastonbury triple album from the early 70's with some good stuff on there as well as bits and pieces with it like cardboard pyramid to put together and various other things as well.
Will have to try and find it up in the loft somewhere. smoking smiley

I had it on cassette. That was a great collection. I think the only triple vinyl I ever had was All Things Must Pass.
