Gonna go again with "Let It Bleed," though I think they are about equal and both belong in the HoF, if "BoB" is there. But again, "Rocks Off" has never been captured live, whereas "LIB" is often a highlight of the otherwise brutally played '81-82 tour.
But both have great grooves, fascinating lyrics, and classic moments.
rocks off is great and both rank amongst my favorite songs but memo from turner is so sexy and raunchy that i have to vote for it and am dying to hear it one of these days at a club show...
"Memo from Turner" is not a Rolling Stones track. It was first released as a Mick Jagger solo number. Another version was released on "Metamorphosis" without asking the Stones.
Okay Rocks Off has been kicking Memo From Turner's ass all day. So we're adding a mercy rule, where if a song gets over 10 votes in a row, then we won't embarrass the competitor any further, we'll declare a winner and move on.
The new start/stop clock for the cage match is 21:00 IORR Standard Time.
So let's move on . . .
Rocks Off now goes on against its 3nd contender: Slave.
So, . . . Rocks Off? or Slave?

"Slave" by miles. Helluva groove. Working title "Vagina". Hard rock funk jazz blues. Billy Preston Pete Townshend Sonny Rollins. The hidden masterpiece on TATTOO YOU. While "Rocks off" is a good track, "Slave" is outstanding. For me it belongs into the Stones top 10, for many years I thought this was the best Stones track ever, just couldn't get enough of it.
