They have had some great ones and man have they had some bad ones...

I thought nothing could ever beat Mick Jagger's "PRIMITIVE COOL" which I have to say is one of the worst covers I have ever seen in all of music...that aside...these are my top 3 Stones horrors:

The packaging for Bigger Bang is not worthy of the musical content. Someone should have put just a little artistic effort into the cover and notes.

Agree with your top 2 choices. IORR is good too.

I also like Decembers Children, Ya Yas and Black and Blue.

Most of the album covers since Some Girls have been vile.

Especially the post-Ya Yas live albums. No Security especially is a monstrosity

Oh come on, I like that one. I think it's cool that the Stones put their fans on the cover. And they didn't pick the hottest or the hipest-looking people, or some celebrity who came to a show, just two average looking (ok, unattractive) fans. Pretty nice move on their part.

and the Nazi's lifted from the 1st reich (Romans--the old "gods descending" theme) and stole the swastika from the hindus, but at least with the Stones they put a decent album out. The Nazis music sucks.

By the way, did you ever see Guy Peellaert's painting of the Stones in Nazi uniforms? Or in S&M drag? Glad that wasn't the cover.

What's wrong with the Goats Head Soup cover? The image fits the mood of the album very well, and I like both. Seems like everyone jumps on the bandwagon against this album, starting with the cover (or maybe the title). It's David Bailey, whose pictures of the stones in the 60s are outstanding.
