You shouldn't "love" newer bands because you're setting yourself up for disappointment when they start to "branch out" I used to like the Black Keys, only for them to come out with El Camino. For me it was "Oh now you like them too, what a f*king surprise"

I would hold that as a proud achievement if I didn't know that you cringe all the time

First Aid Kit. They started in 2007. 2 sisters from Stockholm Sweden with a solid backing band. I "discovered" them at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in SF and two songs in I was looking to see when I could see them again.
Klara Söderberg – vocals, guitar, keyboards (2007–present)
Johanna Söderberg – vocals, bass guitar, keyboards, autoharp (2007–present)
Melvin Duffy – pedal steel guitar, mandolin and electric guitar (2013–present)
Scott Simpson – drums (2015–present)
Steve Moore – keyboards, trombone (2017–present)
This is a pro shot video from their last tour [www.youtube.com]

Dea Matrona from Belfast started 2018. They were mentioned here on this site at the beginning of the year when they were busking on the streets of Belfast and had a Youtube video of Oh Well, the Peter Green Fleetwood Mac. That vid has almost a million views now.
So many great videos, mostly cover tunes but they're slowly writing more of their own songs. Mollie, 21, sings, plays guitar/bass/piano while Orlaith, 20, sings, plays guitar/bass. Mollie's sister Mamie, 18, plays drums.
So many great Youtube vids: CSNY Helplessly Hoping, Johnny B Goode, Zep Heartbreaker, You're So Vain, 8 Days a Week, etc. Their bass guitar has a Stones tongue on it but I've yet to see a Stones song! Check them out!

Have to say Mammoth with Wolf Van Halen. So talented. Saw him so many times this year when he opened for GNR.
